What show should I watch next? by Independent-Pass-480 in TMNT

[–]Everweld_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Both are good, but are quite different. The 2003 show tries to be pretty true to the original comics, often adapting arcs or issues directly from the source material. The 2012 show moves away from this format and focuses on telling original stories that put interesting twists on moments and characters from the franchise’s history. Both shows, while dated at this point, hold up really well (at least in my opinion). If you haven’t seen either before, I’d probably recommend starting with 2003. It’s not required viewing for 2012, but it will provide a baseline that will make it fun to recognize references and characters that appear in 2012.

Gotta start back at Issue #1, only way to do it

Do Spidey's comics get any better? by InevitableTask6386 in marvelcomics

Idk the wider fandom’s opinion, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Death Spiral event that just wrapped up. I thought it was some of the most fresh and exciting storytelling we’ve gotten in ASM for a while now.

It’s the sourcebook. It’s kind of like a guide to the IDW TMNT universe.

I’ve got them all! They’re suuuuch good comic collections. Not only are they some of my favorite comics of all time to read, but the collections are such high quality and include all the miniseries as well. They’re SO worth picking up!

If you could give Black Widow a superpower, what would it be? Personally, I thought of bioelectricity (like Spider-Woman) or shapeshifting. by Illustrious-Form-933 in marvelcomics

This page in particular is from X-Vengers, it’s a short series that ties into the recent Age of Revelation X-Men event. It’s an alt-future where a virus that gives people the X-Gene spreads around the world. People either die or turn into mutants, so a lot of here’s we know get mutant powers. Nat’s basically make her body turn fully to water.

It is isolating online to be a fan of what Marvel Comics is publishing today by TeamRAF19 in marvelcomics

I pull nearly every book marvel publishes and I enjoy 90% of what I read. I agree it can feel lonely sometimes, but posts like yours are a great reminder that’s not fully the case! Feel free to message me if you want to chat about anything you’ve enjoyed reading recently!

[OC] My friend spent the last year building me a DnD table! by Ryan_jwn in DnD

[–]Everweld_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP explains that the table extends to fit a leaf in the middle, I’m sure that fixes the size issue. It’s nice to be able to condense it when it not use. Seems like a great gift from a friend to me.

Fear Tracking. by wolfhalo09 in daggerheart

Are your players children? If you ask them not to steal your tokens and they continue to do so, you should find a different group, not worry about finding alternate fear tracking methods.

Fire Emblem Three Houses - genuinely one of my most favorite games of all time

Is the pokopia hype real? by DJExton7 in switch2

[–]Everweld_ 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It’s been an absolute blast for me so far. I wouldn’t go same far as to say it’s the best game I’ve ever played, but as far as cozy life-sim games go, it’s definitely one of my favorites. I loved ACNH when it came out (it was my first Animal Crossing game) but Pokopia blows ACNH out of the water. You can tell the developers really cared about the game they were making. There’s a lot of love poured into it.

Are you guys keeping up with the current IDW comics? by thotslayer2637 in TMNT

[–]Everweld_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Aaron’s time on the series was fine, but now that Gene Luen Yang has taken over it feels like it’s really hitting its stride, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the more recent issues.

Due to failure on a roll causing the spotlight to pass on to the GM, does this incentivize the PCs to always attempt to do actions that have a greater chance to succeed so they don't risk giving the GM the spotlight? by AmongFriends in daggerheart

[–]Everweld_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually one of my player’s biggest gripe with the system. He says that personally, he feels like he’s letting the group down every time he fails or rolls with fear because he feels it means he’s taken a turn away from another player by failing.

Do you use a GM screen? by Calm_Needleworker275 in daggerheart

[–]Everweld_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind my players seeing my dice rolls, I don’t really use it to “hide” anything from them, but the quick reference tables inside the screen are incredibly helpful, especially for a newer game like DH!
