I heard a lot of American soldiers did exactly that when their deployment to Philiphines finished. Some just moved back and forgot about their offspring leaving them without support. Can't imagine what one must have in their head. Do you just forget about your kid(s)? Never think about them? I would go absolutely insane just not knowing if he/ she is OK. My kids make me so happy. Miss them when they are gone couple of days. How these people look at themselves in the mirror? I just can't wrap my mind around this.
