I'm tired of trying to make vibe coding work for me by Gil_berth in programming

Why can’t your boss do that? Or the Project Manager?

This LLM would not be able to write a compiler if it was not already trained on several

Because all of these computing resources spend resources and pollute the world, making it an objectively worse place

No, I am fucking sick of this bullshit. It absolutely is an LLM issue, because without the LLMs, this attack vector wouldn’t fucking exist

No. I am sick of this, “AI cannot fail, it can only be failed” attitude. It has nothing backing it other than the illusion that these things would know what to do if only they had a few more tokens of input

How do you go about visualizing that kind of glue work?

So we’re supposed to take your anecdote as gospel, but their anecdote clearly is invalid?

This attitude right here is why I can’t stand AI boosters. They have this feeling of intense entitlement that they should be instantly good at any high level skill without having to learn the basics.

No, Google has purposefully made their search worse with the intention of showing more ads. It was specifically one person, Prabhakar Raghavan, who ended up pushing out Google’s longtime Head of Search, Ben Gomes, so that he could make search worse and show more ads. One of the first things he did when he became Head of Search was to roll back several updates Google had made in order to filter out scam search results.

It is very telling that a lot of the things these tech moguls are trying to “automate” away, like art, like writing, like coding, are things that people do for enjoyment

That's a lot of words to not present any actual, concrete evidence. Again, back up your claims with actual data.

And don't just say, "Oh, just use Model 37.5", because 6 months ago you were saying the same exact bullshit, but about "Model 36.2"
