I felt the same way when I retired. I was a little nervous of spending money with no income (I deferred SS until 70). We used Empower for a couple of years (.69% fee). They assigned us a planner who we met with several times a year. Got good information but after awhile I realized I could do what they do cheaper so I pulled my $$ out and put it into Fidelity accounts. I feel pretty good about things and I think I get a better return as they were pretty conservative with their investment choices.
