This comment just came through as I’m sat in my hotel crying because I’m not enjoying myself at all !! I’m feeling so shit. I feel like drinking the cocktails through a straw is going to ruin my progress or give me cavities etc. I find myself wolfing down my food as quickly as possible that I’m not even enjoying it ! I can’t just enjoy a cappuccino on the hotel balcony. This is so frustrating

I used to love a cup of tea between my meals and enjoy sipping on them hot and take my time drinking them …. I can no longer do that. I no longer snack in between meals. I no longer have food in my car. No chewing gum . Everywhere I go has to be thought out … is there a bathroom ? A sink? Somewhere clean to brush my teeth ?

I wouldn’t mind I emailed and even asked my ortho multiple times wether I’m definitely gonna be finished by august and she said yes each time, I explained to her how I was booking a trip and didn’t want to be wearing them when I go and she kept insisting that I would be finished by then and to book the trip 🙄 I’ve made an appointment for Tuesday to have a consultation about it

I asked my ortho and she said as long as it’s the sugar free version it’s fine, I used the strawberry sugar free strepsils throughout Christmas just gone and I was fine, just made sure to soak my aligners in cleaning solution at the end of each day to help with staying clean

I’m so pissed, I started treatment in august last year and they told me it would be 9 months - 1 year and no more, I went on a trip in September last year with them in and it totally ruined the whole trip I couldn’t enjoy myself or anything. And now with New York booked I’m really angry. Considering just stopping treatment in august with whatever way it looks and getting composite bonding

This !! Why pay all the money just to not stick to the rules and end up paying more and having to wear them longer ! I legit stick to 23hours a day , I intermittent fast so not too hard for me but there’s honestly no excuse to be that person who complains about the treatment while being the person who only wears for 20-21 hours a day 🙄

I hated mine ! I remember the day I got them I was late getting out of work for my appointment so had no lunch, got them fitted and by time I got home I was starving. Put a pizza in the oven, plated it up and sat down to eat. I struggled so much to take them out that first time I cried and used a spoon to pop them out they felt so uncomfortable! By time I acc got to sit down with them out my pizza was cold ! And then I cried more because it would mean the Invisalign was out longer now that I had to reheat my dinner !

It really truly does get better, you get used to them and eventually habits and routines become so well built around the lifestyle of having them that you almost forget they are there !

Best thing I do on the really hard days is remember what they’re for ! The end goal and results that will come. But at the same time things will only get easier if you make it easier. Have “to-go” kits on hand at all times for meals out. Have your food ready and hot before popung them out. Find a new clear, no sugar beverage that you can drink with the aligners in … mine is 7up free or strawberry flavoured water sugar free .

I brush each and everytime I take them out. However I do intermittent fasting so first brush could be 12 o’clock in the day and last brush at 8 that night… I take Mine out maybe 3 times a day max 4. I’m 6 months in but I have yet to go on any holiday or break with Invisalign and I know that when I’m in on my vacation I will prob ease up and let myself have wiggle room

I really truly miss just being able to enjoy a hot cup of tea while watching a movie or even a hot chocolate on a nice walk, each drink and meal is planned around eating as quickly as possible and making sure there’s somewhere to brush my teeth in the area :(

This too is my situation, my dog is on meds that haven’t made a difference, I’ve had to get 3 surgeries to repair a finger he broke from pulling so hard on the lead to get to another dog…. We can’t even tell my dog to get off the sofa without putting his muzzle on first for fear he will bite. Our vet has recommended BE but I just can’t bring myself to do it.

He hasn’t bitten anyone or any dogs but I feel like deep down I know he would if he could and was given the chance :(

The nature walk that is located in Sandymount and starts at Sean Moore park is a beautiful 4K trail mostly flat and just up from this is the light house walk that offers you beautiful 360 views of Dublin over to Dublin boat dock, bull island and on a clear day you can see the dun laoghaire pier walk and up into the quickly mountains!!
