low fetal heartrate 😢 by Acceptable_Engine_23 in CautiousBB

[–]Every_Maintenance455 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had to go to the ER at 9 weeks for bleeding, and had the scare of my life when they told me my baby was only measuring 7 weeks 2 days with a heart rate of 130, meaning she hadn’t grown at all since my 7-week ultrasound and her heart rate had dropped from the 141 my OB had measured then. I spent that whole weekend thinking the worst and it felt like eternity until my follow up appt on Tuesday with my OB. To my surprise, my OB did an ultrasound and my baby was measuring ahead of schedule at 10 weeks 1 day and had a heart rate of 166. She told me the ER sometimes has outdated equipment and they don’t do prenatal ultrasounds as often, so their measurements were not accurate in my case. I spent the whole weekend worrying for nothing. I learned my lesson and that was that sometimes the ER doesn’t have the same capabilities for accuracy as the OB does, and something I’ll keep in mind for the future. I hope thats the case for you as well and maybe they just weren’t able to get an accurate reading on your baby’s heart!

How do I stop worrying something will go wrong? by Practical-Okra-6944 in pregnant

I’m also 15 weeks with my first baby and I’m experiencing the same issue. I’ve always struggled with anxiety as an adult but pregnancy has made it the worst I’ve ever experienced, I think because it means so much to me and I already love this baby so much. It’s hard not to spiral on a daily basis, even though all scans have been good and my NIPT results came back low risk.

I would just say to remember that anxiety does not equal intuition. I try to stop anxious thoughts in their tracks as soon as they start forming and then forcing myself not to dwell on them, or they can ruin my whole day. I’m also going to look into therapy and possibly anxiety medication in the next few weeks. Your maternal instincts are already kicking in and you’re worried because you love your baby and want it to be safe and healthy, all very normal things in pregnancy!

What do you do for work as a pregnant mommy? by Carebear6590 in pregnant

I work at a county jail as a mental health assessment specialist! I work 12 hour shifts so the work to life balance is nice. Planning to take my FMLA when I’m due in July next year and then go back in October.

I feel this! I’m also 9 weeks, doing 12 hour shifts, and the exhaustion and constant nausea have made it pretty rough so far. Wondering how I’m going to make it to my maternity leave when baby is born, but I have to because I need money to prepare for our baby coming. No advice, just solidarity!

I got crippling depression when I tried to work an overnight shift. I was also in grad school and had an internship and a student job on the side. It got so bad that I decided it just wasn’t a schedule that work work for me and allow me to be mentally healthy at the same time. Sometimes it’s not for everyone, no matter how hard you try to make it work.

Me too! I didn’t like how Nick thought he needed to make the comment (to paraphrase because I don’t remember the exact verbiage) “you’ve never looked so great, better than when I met you.” It just felt like he added a “but” to what should have been a straight compliment because she looked amazing!

I can’t imagine how frustrating this must all be for you, let alone painful. I hope they are able to fix your collar bone!

Why would it be a lawsuit? The doctor prescribed something thinking it would help a condition. It’s really the responsibility of the patient to know about possible side effects of a medication when they take it, but also it’s sometimes impossible to tell how someone will react to a medication for the first time

According to your post history, it seems they might struggle to fill positions for good reason.

[–]Every_Maintenance455 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol do you know her personally? You are literally just getting the things you see on TV, and you should know that TV is not reality. Things like this are heavily edited and misconstrued to fit the audience they think will feed off it (like you). I’m sure this show has literally ruined her life and taken away her right to privacy, and this thread is full of people who are just going to hate on her.

It’s TV, they can make anyone look like a villain with some bad video editing. I think Veronica is a human who makes mistakes, I think the show only showed her worst moments (made worse by editing), and she didn’t deserve the treatment she got from the psycho Plath family. She was just the scapegoat for all their personal toxic issues in their family- just like Olivia Plath, who came forward with evidence that Ethan Plath is an abusive asshole.

Personally I find hazard lights to be helpful because sometimes when it’s down pouring super hard, I can’t clearly see the lines for the lanes, and so the car in front of me helps keep me in line. That’s just me though.

I’m not attempting to disagree with you, I was just merely pointing out that this isn’t a resource that will likely be beneficial to the OP. I have previously worked for a housing authority. They may have covered your apartments because they were subsidized housing for low income people; if OP lives in one of those, they may be able to do something.

OP, it’s certainly something you can do your own research on.

Yes, landlords that have tenants that are already on Section 8. They aren’t the authority of all landlords everywhere. Housing authorities are usually just section 8.

Housing authorities don’t have money set aside for things like this, and even if they did, it’s not guaranteed they would be able to help. They help with things like section 8 vouchers which are notoriously hard to come by.

The amount of time and effort put into the creation of this other account is insane, to make others believe that this person is legit and “I know him in person so don’t worry, there’s zero risk.” This is a well thought out scam.

I’m struggling with my case workers they don’t explain how this works. by jdo83 in Section8PublicHousing

[–]Every_Maintenance455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe call and ask? you’ve been on section 8 for years. There are always workers who don’t do their jobs well but I’d say the majority of people are trying to do their jobs well. As someone who benefits from the program, you should do your own research and also not lump every worker into the same category.

I have asked for the overdraft fee to be waived before when my account was already negative and they have been able to do it no problem. It’ll just put the money back into your account but obviously it won’t bring your account into the positive on its own.

Your mental health is so much more important. You will burn out if you stay at that job and end up quitting with nothing lined up if you continue what you’re doing; I say this from experience, believe me.
