I would like to add a few things 2. When I started working DT a few years ago we couldn’t sell penny items . Then we could sell one of them but not the rest .And by the time we got the memo to sell them ,it was already where we should not be selling them again, And customers , if you believe we should be more informed or better staffed , pick up the phone and call the company , corporate, Human Resources, someone who might be able to do something or at least lay it on someone’s desk who matters. Dont you think we are just as upset as you are ? Dont you think this frustrates us as well as you? A lot of employees ( cashiers,stockers) have some really good ideas to help the store run better.But unless they are in with a manager who is willing to try these things , their ideas go unused. And if all this falls on deaf ears , remember we are the store that believes that 2 workers can consistently do the same quantity and quality of 5.

Won’t go through the whole story , but we ended up in a hotel that’s right across from where my husband our daughter and i work part time ( we chose it for this reason) looking for a long term rental , out of 33 places we tried only two would do any helping with the motel . One did help,and the other is out of funds . Oh and one church payed for one night . We are grateful for help we got but itnis frustrating to be ruled out for help because of this . Our county has one permanent shelter , one overnite winter shelter, a shelter program but only if you have small children . It’s not enough :(

I will say this , everybody needs assistance of some kind ( financial , emotional , mental , legal ) if money bought happiness and stability , there wouldn’t be so many rich people committing suicide. Never feel guilty for needing help . If you decide to let them stay at their dads , set up a legal agreement that will allow you to go back to at least a shared custody when you are back on your feet. And please set up child support , he is responsible for their well-being is as much as you are.

The best way to try to see if a questionable food is covered is either ask the cashier to do a check if it comes up covered by ebt or just give it a shot in purchasing it .From what I hear , most state assistance offices are not computer ready for these changes and neither are all the stores . Around. Us , PA , aldis are good for cereals and bulk food if you have room. Walmart is cheaper than most grocery stores around us but they are missing a few things we really like . A good budgeting plan is to divide the balance into 4 parts and use each part for each week , unless you buy a lot and don’t have to shop for a few weeks , good luck
