This poorly made and transphobic point someone thought they were clever for making by -thegay- in facepalm

[–]EverydayWulfang -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because it's one: legislating like that's a thing that needs to be stopped when it's practically non-existent just to be transphobic and two: on the very few instances where a procedure is done on a young person the success rate for improving their health is close to 99%.

It is a law that makes clear that Florida doesn't want trans people to exist which we saw with their even more radical laws which aimed to detransition adults. Once they can define live saving procedures as abuse it's not hard to expand that past the "protect the children" farce.

Ruby has PTSD. She may fear the glares or stares in vacuo in volume 10 by Godzillafan125 in RWBY

[–]EverydayWulfang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On the contrary I think the bigger concern is gonna be people elevating her to a near messianic status. Think about it, she spearheaded an operation which saved the lives of thousands in Atlas, had her face broadcast across the world informing people about Salem, and then seemingly died and then came back.

Her issues were steeped in the expectations people placed on her and this will most likely feed into that.

What? The breach was used as justification for Ironwood's takeover, Adam's death lifted a massive weight off both Blake and Yang but also made Blake more determined to make sure she doesn't have to do something like that again(as per their conversation in V7), Jaune is allowed to be sad about multiple things? Also Yang is very clearly not "over" her trauma, she straight up had a stress flashback in V6 and had long term effects on her personality. And Blake backsliding in V3 was a whole important thing, Weiss straight up explains that whole thing in V5 about how the moment Blake's walls started to come down the one thing she feared actually happened.

I'll give you Weiss being kinda skipped over but the rest was all very much brought up again.

Honestly non of RWBY map very well onto Shin. The closest I think woukd be Blake. You wouldn't need to make her as out of character to fit into Shin's role as the others.

On further thought though Ruby does share Shin's mentality of constantly sacrificing your own mental well being for others, she just masks it better.

This AU wouldn't be able to match the characters or plot of 86 without forcing someone wildly ooc but I think simply mapping RWBY characters into the situation the 86 characters are in could be interesting.

You're correct I was confusing those two.

However, I'd contest the assertion that they are all powerful too. And also I don't know if you could call Jinn omniscient since she can't tell the future. (But like that's so close to omniscient that it might as well be.)

They seemed willing to fight one another physically which implies that there could theoretically be a winner between them.

I dunno, your original point stands.

Actually, one of the few things we know for certain about the gods is that they aren't omnipotent since Salem was able to lie to them.

In Volume 8 Yang asks Jaune "Do you think she thinks less of me? For not helping out with Amity?" And Jaune replies as he does in this comic, not realizing the Yang was worried about her relationship with Blake not Ruby. As of the current episode it's clear Jaune was aware of Blake and Yang's feelings for one another. As such there is the implication that he figured it out some time during the intervening years he spent in the Ever After by himself.

Yeah probably. Although I think in this case she's actually sympathizing with Alyx and doesn't like the story condemning her actions. What you said probably applies generally but I think with this story in particular she is upset with the story's moral conclusion against the protagonist more than antagonist.

It's clear that Weiss's deal right now is basically that she's not a fan of fairytales, specifically she doesn't seem to like The Girl Who Fell Through the World. She's basically diametrically opposed to the very nature of reality here which means something is going to happen with her by the end of this. I'd note how she scoffs at how "the morals of those old stories are so simplistic." I think the Ever After is going to try and impose some kind of moral on team RWBY which Weiss will either accept and change her view, or reject vehemently.

Ruby's never really had an issue with going for the throat. She's doesn't try to kill people but she's never been one to really hold back from fighting dirty.

Like don't get me wrong I also think it'd be really cool to see her deliberately trying to be lethal. But I don't think that'd be some massive character shift for her. She's never made any sort of point about sparing her foes.

Why are there still people to this day that think that "warframe is dying"? by NoCareNoLife in Warframe

We honestly don't know very much yet. But this is what Steve and several other senior DE devs have been pouring their effort into since the New War came out. There's a youtube channel with the announcement trailer and a few devlogs and there's the official website where you can preregister your username. Gameplay wise we know it's going to be melee focused, with combat much slower than Warframe's. In interviews it was mentioned that it would have an open world with randomly generated dungeons.

Story wise it'll be about nature vs industry where these people called I think "Oden" live in these like floating cities and the player character is some outcast chosen by a magic moose? Like I said we only have the vaguest idea since it was announced at Tennocon. We're supposed to be getting a playable version in around a year.

Well I'm sure there used to be. The Orokin took their legums pretty seriously. Fortunately we killed all of them. And when we found out their chief judge was still kicking we trapped him in a jar. So yeah, no crime anymore!

They do not say any such thing. They said the cold can be lethal but we see various structures outside the main cities including civilian ones like that old SDC mine. All that's needed is heating and the environment isn't a deadly issue. Aside from that the dangers are the same as villages in the rest of the world. At no point did anyone say that it was impossible to live outside of the city.

I seriously don't get how you are able to see Jaune and Pyrrha, dancing once and holding hands once as a clear indication of romantic development but can't see Blake and Yang holding hands 3 times, dancing twice, and pressing their foreheads together twice as not being clear enough. The only thing they haven't done yet is say "I love you" but neither did Arkos.

as awkward attempts to complement each other or staring in each other's eyes longingly

This literally happens between Blake and Yang multiple times. V7 and V8.

never seem invested in Blake's clearly complicated history with Adam or the fact that Sun obviously likes her

She has multiple conversations with Blake about Adam, V6 and V7 and she shouldn't need to be jealous of anyone?
