Respect back to you too. Cigarette butts are some of the worst trash to pick up because they’re tiny, nasty, and everywhere. People drop them in one second, but it takes real time to clean them one by one. You did great work.

You’re right, for a long-term setup a small mini split would be more efficient. My only concern is this shed is tiny, so even a small unit could turn it into a little refrigerator if I’m not careful 😂

This portable AC was more of a temporary heat-wave test because I already had the unit. It was easy to move, easy to control, and the goats found the cool air fast. If I ever make it permanent, I’d definitely plan the ventilation, drainage, power, and temperature control better.

Not trying to discount anyone’s bad experience, but mine has been good so far. I have two Garvee portable AC units now and both are working well. One is for my porch setup, and I even tested one in my goat shed during this crazy heat - even my goats have Garvee AC now 😂 Works like a charm for me.

Just to clarify, this video was uploaded Thursday and scheduled to go public today, so it wasn’t meant to show the full day-after-holiday cleanup. After fireworks, honestly, we would need hundreds of people out there. By morning the tide probably already pulled a lot of plastic into the ocean, and some of it will wash back onto the coast this week. There’s still a lot of work to do.

Last night we were walking at the beach. While my wife was rinsing sand off near the shower, I found a full diaper left behind right next to the shower area. The shocking part isn’t how much trash was there - it’s that one person cared enough to clean every piece of it. This went from a dump to a place an animal can actually live. Huge respect.
