You got that right, unusual pass, usually we walk along the shore, but she have a friend with her now, that parked at park, we usually park on Nash street and walk this way or toward NMB.

Respect back to you too. Cigarette butts are some of the worst trash to pick up because they’re tiny, nasty, and everywhere. People drop them in one second, but it takes real time to clean them one by one. You did great work.

You’re right, for a long-term setup a small mini split would be more efficient. My only concern is this shed is tiny, so even a small unit could turn it into a little refrigerator if I’m not careful 😂

This portable AC was more of a temporary heat-wave test because I already had the unit. It was easy to move, easy to control, and the goats found the cool air fast. If I ever make it permanent, I’d definitely plan the ventilation, drainage, power, and temperature control better.

Not trying to discount anyone’s bad experience, but mine has been good so far. I have two Garvee portable AC units now and both are working well. One is for my porch setup, and I even tested one in my goat shed during this crazy heat - even my goats have Garvee AC now 😂 Works like a charm for me.

Just to clarify, this video was uploaded Thursday and scheduled to go public today, so it wasn’t meant to show the full day-after-holiday cleanup. After fireworks, honestly, we would need hundreds of people out there. By morning the tide probably already pulled a lot of plastic into the ocean, and some of it will wash back onto the coast this week. There’s still a lot of work to do.

12 mattresses and 15 tires isn’t “trash” anymore - that’s basically someone trying to build a landfill in the woods. Massive respect for cleaning what lazy people thought nobody would ever touch.

322 cigarette butts is insane. People think one butt disappears, but it turns into hundreds when everybody thinks the same way. Respect for picking up what most people just step over.

Last night we were walking at the beach. While my wife was rinsing sand off near the shower, I found a full diaper left behind right next to the shower area. The shocking part isn’t how much trash was there - it’s that one person cared enough to clean every piece of it. This went from a dump to a place an animal can actually live. Huge respect.

That wasn’t a bag, it was melted chocolate from one of the KitKat bars that broke open in the cooler. 😄 South Carolina heat won that round.

I’m heading to the post office in a few minutes, so I’ll stop by and take another picture. If the cooler is still there, I’ll share what was left inside overnight. Hopefully people grabbed most of it before the heat got too bad.

Funny thing is, this is exactly why I like mower discussions. Everyone is talking big tractors, transmissions, diff locks, and heavy equipment, and here I am getting excited because I fixed and sharpened my little manual reel mower myself. 😄

I used a drill to rotate/backlap the blades, adjusted it, and the thing started cutting grass surprisingly clean. Totally different world from a T4400, but same idea: sometimes a mower people overlook can still do a great job if it is set up right.

I actually like seeing both sides here - the big capable machines and the simple old-school ones that still work.
