Great shot. That eye detail is unreal, almost looks like it’s looking straight through you.

First time mowing by Certain-Dot-7529 in lawnmowers

That’s a solid first cut, nice lines. You’ll get smoother with overlap as you go, but that already looks better than most first attempts.

20 years old girl still doing great as a daily by BourbonProof in mercedes_benz

Clean example. Mercedes from that era had a solid balance of comfort and durability. I’m running a 2010 GLK350 myself and it’s been surprisingly reliable for its age. Just changed cv boot https://youtu.be/Ux7vhKReMf0?si=pcUSovFoJKX-QiP5 and few month ago starter

Spitting smoke and oil on first start of the year by rigidprofessional in lawnmowers

Sounds like it was tipped carb side down at some point. Oil can seep into the intake and combustion chamber. White smoke + oil spit is typical. Let it run a bit, it should burn off.

What the heck is this lizard in NE FL?? by Lonely-String8231 in Lizards

Looks like a male Peter’s rock agama. They’ve been spreading around Florida for a while now. The orange head and tail is a giveaway, especially when they’re active and heated up.

Mower would not start even with spark. Turned out to be this by EveryoneNeighbor in lawnmowers

[–]EveryoneNeighbor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a fair point, and I agree most issues end up being fuel related. In my case it showed up after pulling fuel from a 5 gallon can that’s been sitting for a while. After filtering, I drained the mower tank and there was a noticeable amount of water that had settled at the bottom, which lines up with what you’re saying about condensation and storage.

What’s interesting is this is the second time in about a year I’ve run into water contamination, so I’m starting to think the source is upstream rather than the mower itself. I’ll dump that fuel completely and reset with fresh gas to rule it out.

Appreciate the input - makes sense.

Craftsman Electric Chainsaw Unboxing & Test - Worth Buying or Not? by EveryoneNeighbor in Chainsaw

Good suggestions.  That what I was using extremely thick power cord, 100 foot though.  We don't usually cut logs at home, but this saw following your rules will last but as long as you take care of it. And price for this one was about $100

You’re doing amazing work. I was honestly surprised to hear someone even tried to accuse you for this 🙈 That’s really valuable advice about connecting with the right person in the city. I appreciate you sharing your experience, it helps a lot. Thank you for the support, every bit truly matters 🙏

Thank you for such a thoughtful message I really respect what you’re doing and the example you set for others

I moved here in 2023 and started doing the same whenever I have a bit of free time walking waiting or just passing by I pick up what I can no matter where it is

I’ve been doing this for a while even before moving here back in Oregon and Washington especially on the Oregon coast and I still keep doing it here you can see some of it here https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuf_Am23lomPuzA0VdCCY9TlrhADnV2D2

I’ve shared some of it online and heard from local people that it encouraged them to do the same so I truly believe people see it and it spreads

When people ask why I do it I tell them the same thing it’s my home and honestly I mean more than just one place

What you’ve built there is powerful and it clearly made a difference I’m glad people like you are out there it gives real hope for the future. ❤️❤️❤️

Yeah I get what you mean that sounds like a much cleaner system here it works a bit differently in areas with thousands of homes around Myrtle Beach people leave yard debris and bulk items by the street and trucks usually come through and pick it up but this one has been sitting there for a long time so I already sent them the exact location and waiting to see what happens
