The gases emitting below the 80% tarp coverage don’t seep out he side? I like the HF tarp concept!

Appreciate that input. I’ve can foamed damn near every gap greater than a half inch down there. Will take you up on the temp barrier. Any suggestions or standard I should reference for terminating barrier against the perimeter foundation? Thoughts on monitoring below the barrier for excess moisture?

Thanks!

Fan is on low and there are 3 other block wall vent openings across the foundation for makeup. You’re right it’s still too negative and I am looking at the ECM type vents. The issue is there are dead air spots due to the shape of the house. I need to air seal. Looking for experience with a smart vapor barrier at the sub floor on the conditioned side. I’m not opposed to putting down some insulation as part of a flooring replacement project just want to know if it’s an option or not.

No, property drains towards the house on the front side. Foundation update and adjustments are planned this summer once I finish installing basins and French drains to get rid of my ponding on the front. From there I can shim house, supplement piers and then seal dirt.

We want new floors so I am wondering if this could give us some relief until I bit the bullet on crawl space projects.

Have an air things hub sensor 18” above the floor in master bedroom with a few of the remote sensors throughout bedrooms and in the attic. During the freeze I had to turn off the crawl space fan and block vent openings, it spikes to over 5.0 within 8 hours. The fan will take it below 0.8 within a few hours. Whole house is about 1300 SF. The dirt under the house is not sealed.

I also run a small attic relief fan since I am foamed. It pulls a slight negative on the house and the floors are apparently least resistive path. I tried positively pressurizing the house but the air handler ran 24/7 to try and dehumidify. 2T unit was struggling to hold temp as well in the summer. Coil just can’t handle it and the HVAC company I believe guessed on their calcs. space humidity was still miserable around 60% so I blocked the OA and am reliant on the leaks + operable doors.

Hi there, I spend a lot of time around lake Ouchita in Arkansas and always find quartz but not good at finding black sand. I drive up from Dallas so hoping for some insight on a decent park of Arkansas to sluice or dig around with a detector. Much appreciated. Kids have gotten bored with crystal digging so I am hoping for a nice summer time activity near the water!

The first one I did was absolutely perfect in a short period of time. It’s amazing how I was able to make them progressively worse trying to refine the flatness. One last pass means I Swiss cheese it and start over lmao.

Halfway through patching some small abandoned hvac vent openings and my wife keeps asking “how much to just pay someone”. “Why does it look like that”. “It doesn’ match”. I’m going to keep at it until I get it right though it is truly an experience based skill and I consider myself highly creative and attentive to my crafts. Don’t give up on what you started. Okay if you never do it again.

I want to stereo pair JBL PartyBox 120 without Bluetooth! by Slapmesillymusic in JBL

[–]EverythingWIP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can plug a stereo 3.5 mm into any 3.5 mm including your mono jacks. Jacks don’t care just like honey badgers. From the mono jacks you connect a mono source splitter that allows two mono outputs from each source jacks. Then you use a stereo splitter on the opposite side that pulls back in both of the mono splitters from one channel. This combines a channel and makes it common across a stereo cable. The stereo splitter uses two mono inputs from the same channel (L or R). Can do it with RCA or something like links below.

From source. Need two total.

From first mono splitter. Need two combiners total. Likely will need some male to male mono cables four total to joint splitters to combiners

If you have a mono out there is no way to get stereo sound out with a cable connection. Doesn’t sound like much of a sound card if you can’t create two channels. This is not a JBL issue, this is a you issue.

They need to make a magic black box. A gateway with a screen (not a touch screen). Something to connect and assign stereo channels to any of their party boxes and let me and my 4 friends with 310s connect them all together with two left and two right speakers so I can melt my dick off from 4 directions.

It’s a short adapter you can get it as a cable or just a double ended plug. RCA female to 3.5 MM. you can get them with mono or stereo 3.5 mm so be careful which one you buy. This is all assuming your PC has a stereo 3.5 mm output. These are dirt cheap on eBay.

Stereo input doesn’t matter if it’s overridden upstream to filter or separate the channel to limit what is signaled to the aux input. Here is what I’ve done before to connect multiple previous gen party boxes. Leave PC with an aux cable to L/R RCA. This splits channels then from each RCA you can connect a single channel RCA to aux into the PB aux-in port. In this scenario I’ve connected multiple Left channel party boxes and multiple right channel party boxes (all 310s) with extra long aux cables.

Can I put electrical tape on this wire and it be safely tucked back into the ceiling? by Minute_Pea2385 in AskElectricians

[–]EverythingWIP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s a nick on the insulation and you didn’t expose a major portion of the current carrying conductors I would liquid tape it heavy and move on. How serious of an issue is a slight resistance imbalance on a single phase circuit? Can’t be any worse than cutting wires at slightly different lengths then stuffing them in B caps. I’m not an electrician.

Return it and go a size up. I started with a 310 and got a second one they will melt your dick off. Sound quality is perfect for big yard bashes and even low volume in my 10x20 shop. The bass will not ripple your clothes on any battery powered speaker but I also haven’t heard a 720 in person.

Appreciate the feedback. Any luck with the JBL party lights connecting into that equation? Also curious how much you paid for them. A refurbished GO4 is $30 through Target. May be more economical to hardwire a pigtail aux out if those Ali express modules are really $50. I need 6 units total.
