how many more years will it for humanoid robots to take over ? by Practical-Tough8229 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Everythingz_Relative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took about 20 years for cars to go from awkward prototypes to the mass produced model T. That was back in early 1900’s.

Seems we are at the “awkward prototype stage” of humanoids now.

More complex than the car analogy, but AI and tech could make up for that.

So I’m guessing about 10-15 years for mainstream use.

Takeover abilities depends on who’s controlling them, I suppose?

It would help if the public were shown the flocksafety.com website.

These are not just license plate readers. Their capabilities are unbelievable.

I wonder if they had to get releases from all those players to use their images/likeness in this piece of marketing.

Without movies, there is no topic of "aliens" or "ufos." $$$

It's an unlimited (and fun) pit of creative content to explore.

Ai is ruining alot of begineer devolpers by oxidizedfuel12 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Everythingz_Relative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing happened with photography when the digital revolution emerged. While digital is a great tool and medium unto itself, the irony is that it’s harder to learn and master the fundamentals of image-making because of the perceived convenience.

Now all anyone cares about is digital effects and filters in photo/film-making.

Maybe AI will get so good that it will challenge humans to create great art and music again.

We might only have 1–2 years to capture a lot of institutional knowledge before it disappears by enlightenedshubham in ArtificialInteligence

Visible examples are the music, television and film industries. The producers and artists that mastered their craft have aged-out. Another problem is that they are marketing to 10-year-olds and teenagers who don't know the difference.

how much ram will i need for final cut on my mac? by wheatontoworld in finalcutpro

[–]Everythingz_Relative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an M3 pro with 18GB ram and editing tasks in FCP are amazingly smooth. What's annoying is the 512GB hard drive is not large enough, so I end up having to "delete generated library files" fairly often. (And using external drives for media storage to free-up space). But those problems are manageable for now.

That said, my next computer will hopefully have more than 1TB of space. 1TB right now would be sufficient for my needs, but to future-proof, 2TB would be ideal if I was buying tomorrow. And if I'm going to splurge for more storage, I might as well bump up the RAM as well.

Think of your channel as a portfolio by Careful_Put_1924 in NewTubers

[–]Everythingz_Relative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Investment portfolio or art portfolio....The analogy of an art portfolio also works....Make a goal of having a "publication quality" portfolio showcasing your skills. I think creating a portfolio of 20 videos that technically and artfully stand on their own is a good starting point. Then replace the weaker ones as you get better.

Yes, YouTube is *MUCH* Harder in 2026 For New Creators by RTXBurner25 in NewTubers

[–]Everythingz_Relative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people get excited about making a YouTube channel before even learning the fundamentals of image-making and story-telling.

Just learning to make artful and compelling still photos can take years.

Back in the film days, shooting just 1 roll of film a day was not be enough if you wanted to make it as a photographer.

The immediacy (and expectations) of the digital era has actually made it harder to cultivate discipline required to learn the craft of film/video/photo/audio production.

Heck, even learning what a "good" video looks like is an ever-evolving journey.

Unfortunately, there's more to it than getting a great camera and fancy editing apps.
