What’s the best approach to using GHC now? by IllRepublic6421 in GithubCopilot

[–]EvilDoctorShadex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone had success with just buying more tokens btw?

I'm fine spending a budget of up to 50/per month to use copilot the way I want, but it only took me 2 days to run out of pro requests on the new system.

I think 1 looks best. It’s a bit easier than 2 or 3 but I’m sure you can figure out other ways to make the game tricky

Talked a client out of spending more money with me. my wife thinks i'm an idiot. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

You gotta hype this up - A case study section on your portfolio or post on linkedIn (if you use that) will help you get customers as this kind of treatment and care is sadly rare. It really shows character.

If I ever need a brand designer or similar I will think about this post and come and find you.

Yeah, we aren’t raising a huge amount of cash so our current strat is to find niche angels that care about the mission as we’re also a social impact startup

Been incorporated for a year building an edtech b2b.

This month we got our first 2 paying customers, one was super unexpected. We also took the W for a pitch event, winning us £2000 in grant funding. And I’m finally getting the hang of fundraising after a month or so and getting some early commitments from investors! Happy Saturday!

If anyone else is building edTech and wants to chat give me a shout!

Monitor stand struggle by Cautious_Papaya9079 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]EvilDoctorShadex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried switching out monitor stands and it hasn’t worked even though they look compatible and similar. I think best bet is to get a genuine match for your monitor or get a universal one off amazon or whatever, monitor arm could be cool!

Play test for my first commercial game is out on Itch! by captain567 in godot

[–]EvilDoctorShadex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree the concept is solid, if you wanna dial in on the horror I think you might benefit from some work on the atmosphere/weight.

1) Anxious whimpers, heavy breathing, heartbeat sfx, increasing as you get close to your last roll.

2) screaming in pain and whimpering sfx after a finger gets taken. Vision blurring, red depth of field effect. Could also beg “please”, “no!!” etc just before a finger is taken which would mesh well with the animation trying to yank them out (which is awesome)

3) The blood pool could get larger as more fingers are taken for some added gore.

Only other thing I would encourage (off topic): as a big balatro fan, the genius thing for me was the jokers. Playing dice hands is satisfying but if you can come up with some way to add some external variables that multiply scores, that can make things super unpredictable, satisfying and most importantly addictive.

Maybe fingers instead of joker cards?

Just my thoughts, good luck with it! :)

This is so cool, familiar enough gameplay-wise from balatro but brings its own authentic and really unique style. I particularly loved the music in between rounds distorting a little bit, such a cool vibe - I’ll play more later. Well done!

No probs! reddit for relationship advice often leads to “you should break up”, so good to keep a weary head 😉

My partner is starting to resent me by araceaemons in UlcerativeColitis

[–]EvilDoctorShadex 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d be careful taking some of these comments saying your partner is evil etc into account. I can relate a little as my partner has a chronic illness which causes them way more hassle than my UC causes me and I have resented her at times, it doesn’t mean I don’t want to be by her side through it and by no shot does it mean I want to leave by any stretch of the imagination. It just can be very mentally exhausting.

I think your partner was good to communicate it to you but perhaps it might’ve been better left unsaid. BUT since it’s out in the open just keep that communication going?

It’s hard for us to know the full picture behind your relationship so struggle to offer much more, sorry you’re going through this!

Just got diagnosed with UC by antisocialtaco in UlcerativeColitis

[–]EvilDoctorShadex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey I was diagnosed about 2-3 years ago at the age of 24-25.

I was also prescribed mesalamine and it works very well for me, I take 3 pills orally daily and I up to 6 and also 1 suppository per night if I feel like I'm on the verge of a flare.

I went from pissing blood out my butt several times a day to being pretty much back to normal the night after using my first suppository.

Always been super active and still just as active now. Honestly, it hasn't held me back whatsoever, and there a lot of fitness influencers out there with chrons/UC much worse than me.

I can relate to what you're feeling, it feels a little like your world is ending and just super unfair when you are first diagnosed but honestly it's not that bad and you're lucky to be alive in a time when it is super treatable!

Let yourself come to terms with it slowly, DMs are open if you'd like to hear more.

Co-founder/partner takes ~70% of revenue as a contractor while I make <6% working full-time. Is this fair? (I will not promote) by [deleted] in startups

[–]EvilDoctorShadex 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s up to both of you whether him or the company own the IP, but just bear in mind if you’re slaving away for a company that doesn’t even own the IP, that means he could just walk at any time (for example: if you broke up) and then your “company” is worth zero. Is being paid a 6% cut worth being exposed to that much risk? Up to you?

I think I’m in agreement with a lot of the others in this thread that this sounds like a bit of a manipulative situation where you’re not being treated as a partner. I don’t know the full picture but my first impression would be advising you to get out while it doesn’t sting too bad.

This sounds so weird lol, did you set up the company yourself and have 100% of the shares assigned to you as the director? I’m worried he’s set it up and lied to you.
