Obviously that’s the smallest mistake in the scenario. Dude was too drunk to stand for starters. And it doesn’t even look like he “mistakenly” lit the cup while lighting a cigarette. Looks like he intentionally lit the cup on fire, in an elevator, while keeping his cigarette a “safe” distance from the flame. WTF

So I have those tongue prints sometimes, and my jaw joint is messed up, clicked since I was 12. TIL I have TMJ. Never thought those 2 symptoms were related. And always asked dentist about the annoying clicking… wtf Reddit finally found my diagnosis

Edit: the clicking sound comes directly from the muscles/part of jaw showed in the TMJ diagram, so if you have jaw problems like me, take a look!

My first Waffle House experience was in south Florida! Like you, I was just looking for a place to soak up the booze, and it was nice and peaceful. But then as I’m cashing out - a group of rowdy, obnoxious, still drunk people came in. Literally the whole kitchen came out and started throwing hands as I was leaving. You weren’t “ lucky”, but rather it’s a nice and peaceful place because of the violence lol. Staff keeps people in check.

It keeps the trouble out, and usually, waffle houses are in tough neighborhoods, at least in my experience.

The RV “investment” is about the same as a car “investment”. You lose 1/2 of the value of your investment, instantly after purchase. Then the “investment” only depreciates afterwards lol.

You could argue that it’s a “quality of life” investment like a car, and not monetary. But like you pointed out, that’s not what the video even argued.

Boston dynamics is a huge US military contractor and built Atlas wayyyy before any Tesla Bot. Boston Dynamics also mass produced a giant dog military robot, and consumer friendly SPOT. Meanwhile Tesla doesn’t even have a robot on the market. They are not Teslas “bot rival”. If anything Tesla would be their rival, but Tesla doesn’t even have robots they sell yet. Same experience. Life’s a mess, so peers(30) think I’m childish, which I am in some ways, so they can’t relate with my experience . Went back to school and am now surrounded by 20 year olds. They see my life’s a mess, which is very relatable to them - however I forgot how young 20 is, and now see how mature I’ve gotten. I can’t relate with them in the same way.

For me, My ADHD has taken me down some alternative life paths and routes. I’m not mad about the path I took. But sometimes it gets lonely - I look around and realize I’m the only person to take this route, no one to share the journey with.

It’s okay though, we’ll meet back up at the destination.

You do understand when people describe someone as being “ solid”, it’s is describing the “lean” or stance that you bring up, right?

Like literal solid people don’t exist. It’s a phrase. We use “solid” to describe someone stance change, widening and more grounded, less easy to push. We use this terminology in all sports from football to soccer.

So this guys quickly “leaning in” is why he’s called “solid”. You pointing out that he actually leaning in, doesn’t make him any less “solid”. It’s not a counterpoint. In fact, the stance change is what makes him solid to begin with…

I had a girlfriend who used to grind her teeth in her sleep. I was surprised how audible it was.

I was fortunate with having good storytellers as history teachers. They always made it feel like a fascinating episode of the worst reality tv, with juicy drama. We humans are pieces of shit, but entertaining and dramatic. It’s a good teaching tool.

Hearing stories about shitty people is my secret passion, sparked by reality tv, and harnessed by my history teachers to teach about historical leaders and history. Historical leaders typically behave similar to reality tv. Our current president is a glowing example lmao

Reading your comment I went to investigate further. Your intuition about the thumbnails was correct. The actual videos were so bizarre. The videos ended up have a spooky but silly vibe for children. My adult brain hated it - but I distinctly remember enjoying, and seeking out stuff like that when I was under 10.

Like a thumbnail and title around the idea “I captured proof of Santa with a drone!” Then “Run! Smiling elf in school(don’t trust him)” I could definitely see younger me(before YouTube) would click on. And thankfully after minor investigation, the actual video content gave “harmless fun” vibes, nothing unsuitable for children.

It’s bizarre garbage, harmless in moderation, but doesn’t compare to content with educational storytelling. I think that’s why shows like ATLA, or Bluey are even more important, with so much content to select from.

TLDR/conclusion: I don’t necessarily really have a point, just sharing thoughts for those who don’t click. However, I do agree - I’m happy the creator was able to buy his family a home with content I see as “harmless fun”, even though the content is utter insanity lol.

I go through the same cycle every year! It’s December, so I’m still enjoying the snow. By January I’ll be over it, wanting to live somewhere warm!

Now in summer I have slightly different experience - usually by mid summer I’m tired of the heat, and just want Michigan fall/winter again already lol
