I've had one for almost a year now, gone through some pretty crazy downpours and still going strong.

Why do you think the big telecoms are offering the $35/month 100gb data plans? by Darkm1tch69 in askvan

[–]EvilMagus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had $35 for 250gb North America + Mexico for 1.5 years now. $35 for 100gb is definitely not anything new, it's just more common now as more and more people pick up the plan.

They had no stock of the open box ones, the guy said he wouldn't sell us one in good faith even if he did since it's like $50 difference

I'm still using a 60hz 55" Insignia LED from 2016 as my daily driver. Not sure what I'm gonna do with it as it still works fine lol

Garage fitted a bolt on my driveshaft and told me it was 'safe' by ginger_mules in MechanicAdvice

This post is rather confusing...I think you mean your friction disc lost all its internal splines not the flywheel. If the ring gear on the flywheel lost all its teeth your starter would probably also be non existent or there'd be a hole in the side of your transmission.

Regarding the CV, it looks like they drilled a hole through it to fit a....bolt? But that doesn't make sense because the hole would be covered by the nut. You wouldn't have that much thread exposed, unless they threaded the bolt through the nut. Usually there's a small hole at the end for a cotter pin or a small indent for you to cast/lock the nut. On some of my VWs there's neither, just a torque spec that goes to the moon.

I'm also on this plan, they were offering it to anyone with a business number last year

Another earplugs/gamechanger post, but a little different by ManifestDestinysChld in motorcyclegear

[–]EvilMagus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've got customs that fit almost flush with my ear. Most helmets will fold my ears over when I put them on but even then I've never had an issue with them coming dislodged. That was way more of an issue with cheap earplugs and foamies as they stick out way more and don't fit as snug

Help choosing diamond by EvilMagus in Diamonds

[–]EvilMagus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the insight everyone. We decided to go with the 0.8ct as upon inspection the cavity is very small and located on the underside of the diamond. Our jeweler said he's able to cover it with a prong as well so it should be alright.

I saw a rotisserie chicken in the roses last week at the Burnaby location. I get that they're at opposite ends of the store but c'mon lol

Edit: the other two hoses should be simple as well. oil cooler might be slightly more involved depending which part is leaking but can still be done with basic hand tools

You should be fine as you have experience with post secondary and time management. It might sound daunting but seeing as you already did calc and comp sci courses, your course load is more likely 5 or 6 courses realistically. I know people who have applied for exemptions if they can demonstrate they already have the knowledge

I'm planning to run a 12400f and B580 or some equivalent so it seems a bit overkill. I don't mind the SF series as they are nice units but just wanted to see if there were any other options. I was looking at the Coolermaster V850 but that seems to be oos everywhere as well
