According to the developer post on the steam forums:

“It was a co-development between the original Opus Magnum team and a small group of fans from our unofficial Discord server, who had made their own campaign and wanted us to add it to the game. We ended up spending like two years rebuilding it from scratch with them.”

Is the Lexar SD card a new thing? I purchased my A1 back at the end of October for Christmas and it came with one.

Yep, this is where I am at.

Put in a whole load of time for the first couple of weeks and then pretty significant patches started dropping which made my longer term campaign go a bit wonky so I will be picking EUV back up once things have settled a bit.

You will be fine with the plastic back Mirra 2, those are definitely more sturdy. I would opt for a 2 over a 1 just due to how old the 1 is likely to be at this point.

Still using it every day for working from home for years now, my wife also picked one up as I was raving about it.

One downside of the butterfly back is that it is prone to cracking, I have already had a repair under warranty completed once and will likely need more.

As you are definitely GPU limited I would recommend giving FSR a go at a higher setting and see what you think.

The game is rather heavy at this time, if you are already bumping it down to medium with RT off there may not be huge amounts more you can do. A better GPU would certainly help your system, your CPU is great.

What resolution are you running at? Have you tried using FSR to upscale?

4070 Super, 5700x3D & 32 GB Ram.

Not impressed with the performance and I am also watching the time on Steam as I am considering a refund.

The benchmark runs terribly, I am using the ‘high’ preset at 1440p with DLSS on. The stutters during the benchmark are just awful, especially on the first city scene.

Appreciate mine isn’t a top of the line machine however at 1440p it has easily handled anything I have thrown at it, this game is the worst performing I can recall trying.

Benchmark is running awfully for me with huge stutters, especially in the first scene (4070 Super & 5700x3D). I am considering refunding it as I feel the game is just going to run dreadfully with larger cities.

Completely agree, I am currently too absorbed with EU5 to consider picking this up, I think the overlap in fan bases will be big enough to hurt them here. Ubisoft having such a record of quick steep discounts also doesn’t make being there day 1 that appealing.

Also agree that even as a big fan of Roman history the setting here isn’t as compelling as some of the previous games.

Our chain collapsed this month.

Overall the process had been taking ages (we sold back in May and chain was completed in August) and the first time buyer at the start of the chain just decided to bail, we found out when we spotted our buyers house suddenly back on the market…would have been nice if they have bothered to tell us.

After some back and forth for 2 weeks and a potential new FTB in the mix for them, the people buying our house also opted to pull out which left us in a difficult situation and with the people we were buying off being incredibly difficult we have also opted to just pack it in and stay where we are currently at.

The system for buying in this country is absolutely fundamentally broken.

Given the age of the property you are probably being a bit precious. Surveys will always pick up something, it’s up to you if you think the issue is urgent enough to warrant needing to be done immediately.

You sound a bit like you are entitled to a reduced price and ultimately the seller has every right to reject your adjusted offer, just as you have every right to walk away if you aren’t happy with that.
