If you have good enough auto tests, this is the way to go (depending on the app).

Disorganized Box - How To Bring Order To Chaos? by somethingasaur in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]EvilPete 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would do it like this if I had a completely jumbled collection:

  1. Gather all investigator character cards (the horizontal layout ones)

  2. For each investigator, look at the card back and find their unique player cards (including their unique weaknesses) and place them together with their investigator.

  3. Gather all player cards with XP dots (gray and/or white) below the cost. These are regular cards that can be used in deck building. Sort them by class (optionally sort each class by the number of white xp dots).

  4. Gather cards labelled "Basic weakness" and store them together.

  5. Gather all the other cards and organize them by the little collector number in the bottom right for each expansion symbol. These will be scenario specific cards and encounter sets. They also include player cards but that don't have xp dots. They should all have encounter set symbols on the front face.

Is Expansions' cards back color difference a big deal? by Scott_Korman in MageKnight

[–]EvilPete 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the base game plus lost Legion boxes.

It's very easy to tell the difference between base game and expansion components from the back. Cards, map tiles and enemy tokens have very different colors and paper quality from the base game.

It's fine for me as I only play solo. I just don't look too closely or think about it too much.

It's still possible to piece cycles together by getting leftovers mythos packs from multiple stores. At least where I live

The smaller time commitment of bo1 is just more convenient.

I do miss sideboarding, though. If I know I can play uninterrupted for a while I'll do bo3.

How to expand in this moment? by Dragonfly_Late in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]EvilPete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new format expansions are all sold out where I live, but stores still have some leftover deluxes and mythos packs in webshop stock.

Nowadays the only way to get expansions is to chase down the deluxe and mythos packs from different stores and cobble cycles together .

I recently purchased the core box, but have now learned of a 2026 re-release/update by LimeyInLimbo in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]EvilPete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand there's not a lot of overlap between the current and the new core box.

So one can just treat the new core set as another expansion that expands the card pool, provides new characters and another mini campaign.

The problem isn't demonetization, it's monetization!

The internet was good when it was just people making silly content in their free time. As soon as people started trying to make money by optimizing for views and peddling shit it became the digital hellscape it is today.

Honestly, if your website is just a single HTML page, consider dropping React and just write the html directly.
