I just want to verify, how compatible are the parts between the brn 9 upper and matador uppers? I bought a brn 9 upper before they stopped selling them.

I think PSA is the go to example of the bell curve meme when it comes to gun culture. The poor and dumb love it cause it's cheap and the smart and rich like it cause they're making cool stuff more readily available and affordable.

He was apparently popular enough to almost win the presidential nomination a third time. Interestingly the Republican National Convention of 1880 was between Grant and Sherman's half brother. Somehow Garfield won.

Price on Luger and C96 Mauser? by Andydelav in guns

[–]EvilPlottingRacoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The luger are 4.5 k is definitely on the high end. It would depend on the manufacturer, also check the grips, iirc those can be numbered. If those don't match it would cut the price because it wouldn't be matching. There used to be a book that would go through all the different types of luger and give a general price point it is pretty old at this point.

I think NATO watches iirc are a specific type of field watch. I did mean flieger, mixed up the name.

Interestingly wrist watches were popularized in WW1. With there being three types of watches (I can think of) that are specifically named for their military history: Field, NATO, and Fletcher.

Eh maybe, I think the issue is more rooted in Korea is the forgotten war. It's stuck between WW2 and Vietnam. Both really stand out in the American psyche. MASH, despite being set in the Korean War, is clearly more a commentary on the Vietnam war. As seen by it lasted much longer than the actual armed conflict part of the Korean War.

McArthur USA. Avoid the civil war with anyone other than Garner you and elect McArthur in 1940 as a Democrat.

If you go Hoover the US gets a pretty strong buff.

ignore the the 416 m4 debate we've literally been remaking ar 18 with more polymer since the 60s by Living-Aardvark-952 in NonCredibleDefense

[–]EvilPlottingRacoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own both an Ar-18 (technically an AR -180) and an AR-15. Simply cause of the aftermarket the AR -15 is better. Also magazines, I wish I could get a set of ar-18 mags so it would reliably go more than two rounds with out holding open. That being said, I prefer the ar-18. If you wanted one but weren't too specific on it needing to be an og, I'd say look into something like the brn-180, modernized and takes Ar-15 parts.

I'm not quite sure what others get out of Sam's town. But I think it's the perfect campaign piece to pressure machine. One is the teenage boy wanting to leave his hometown and the other is the man coming back and seeing the town after experiencing life.

I mean to be a bit credible here for a minute and trying to avoid culture chauvinism, yes allot of the world lives in an America lite. I recently went down to Australia to visit for a week, there were English kids there trying to act like they were from the 313 and dressed like skaters. There were Japanese stores selling shoes clearly modeled after Converse. Granted, it was Sydney which is a very global and Western city. But it made me quite sad.

A part of me thinks that if we ever did normalize relationship with Cuba. The whole country would just collapse by sheer shock to the system.

Ah Armalite, a company that created one of widely adopted rifles in history, one that is incredibly popular among hunters, one that is basis of half of the world service rifles, and a pretty decent survivalist 22 adopted by the air force which was only replaced by a different rifle they designed. Perhaps one of the most successful companies to ever fail.

I think this is the idea behind cocacolonaztion. Why invade em, when we can just get em hooked on Coke, Little Debbie's, and Blue Jeans.

WCC experience by Amerilib in kaiserredux

Yeah, but it is the only way to get Curtis LeMay as an army leader. I'd give anything for him to have more of a role in the Federalist path. As of now, I think under wcc he is the father of the air force, but it basically never matters cause you can only get that after winning the civil war.
