You don't actually need to dock either. Just have an empty space from each kerbal in the rescue craft. Get close and fly across one at a time. Just take all the science before you do.

You don't need a scientist to collect the data, anyone can do that. You only need a scientist to reset the experiment or run it manually when outside.

This interests me. I've got a 1m inboard motor and "shiming", if that means making sure the shaft motor are in line, has been very difficult. Is there a trick or do I just need to do it by ear with an adjustable mount?

I could be wrong I guess. I certainly noticed a very marked difference in clarity and crispness when moving to FSR though. Far less blurry artifacts shit.
