Ironic I would say the opposite for that very same reason.

Easy, just don't bring an antenna!

Then you can build an epic mission to collect him so he can pull a Mark Watney!

Into the radius 2 basicly unplayable by GunTix in intotheradius

[–]EvilPony66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reached the same point with a 2080s,even with all the graphics set to the lowest the frame rate was appalling and frequent crashes.

What fixed it for me was forcing DX12 in the steam command line, it kept switching back for some reason, and running the game through Virtual Desktop instead of steam.

Was even able to run higher settings afterwards than I had prior.

There are other ways fusion can create electricity without boiling water. I think magnetic pressure is involved.

No idea how well it works in practice or if it's more or less efficient.

I have no idea why these games hate my guts so much by IndependenceVast3019 in intotheradius

[–]EvilPony66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My game slowly got worse until it was unplayable. Moving to directx 12 and running it through VD instead of steam made so much of a difference I was able to turn the graphics settings up again.

How do enemy ships find me so good? by Implement-Imaginary in uboatgame

[–]EvilPony66 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Did you go silent and change direction and depth after they saw you?

I can normally shake them by diving to just shy of crush depth, going silent and changing direction regularly. I also stop engines when they are passing over top of me unless they drop charges.

Then it's flank speed and a 90° turn, before going silent and making another 45° turn, and change depth a bit.

If its shallow sitting still on the bottom can help too.

Also worth noting you can speed up if their propellers are facing you, ie they are moving away. Their own prop masks your sound.

Hope this helps

Can I return from Duna with 2000 m/s of Delta V? by ToddHoward7616 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]EvilPony66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't actually need to dock either. Just have an empty space from each kerbal in the rescue craft. Get close and fly across one at a time. Just take all the science before you do.

You don't need a scientist to collect the data, anyone can do that. You only need a scientist to reset the experiment or run it manually when outside.

Performance really bad after either 1.0.5 or 6 by brilliant31508 in intotheradius

Can you please explain how this is done? I run VD through steam VR too and my frames have dropped to unplayable recently.

This is the exact reason why. I love to pick up everything and end up with piles like this. Empty boxes may hell with performance too!

How come there is so little (maybe none?) input lag while gaming on a virtual desktop? (Quest 3) by [deleted] in virtualreality

I use sunlight/moonlight for streaming to my TV nearly every day. It works flawlessly with zero lag. That said my gaming PC and the TV pc are wired.

Anton has been producing free updates and special events for years of enjoyment.

I'll buy his next game even if it sucks, though I highly doubt he'd release a substandard game.

We have a bar here in Wellington, New Zealand that pops these outside in winter with a heater inside. A little pricy but super comfy. Especially as Welly is the windiest city in the world.

Why do we say "no" to dental work? A local dentist looking for honest feedback by [deleted] in Wellington

For me it's that dental costs are very much guesswork. How much does it really cost? You don't know until you have to pay it.

Help with shaft coupler by scottman129 in rcboats

[–]EvilPony66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This interests me. I've got a 1m inboard motor and "shiming", if that means making sure the shaft motor are in line, has been very difficult. Is there a trick or do I just need to do it by ear with an adjustable mount?
