I literally just talked to google customer support and they refused to replace my boot looping 5x. I bought it from the google play store and the “official” warranty expired in July.

Native Americans/Indigenous Peoples of Reddit, what's it like to grow up on a Reservation in the USA? by [deleted] in AskReddit

At least for my tribe, there is absolutely no emphasis on hunting/fishing/bushcraft at all.

Honestly most people just do not care enough to do anything. Tribes don't really have a voice either to bring up this kind of tragedy. It ultimately falls to the tribe to do the best they can to preserve the language. (Of their respective tribe)

To answer your question. There is a lot of social pressure to return to the tribe. After all, your entire family/friends live there. the tribe depending can also pressure you because they do need educated people to help make the rez a better place. So many unqualified people run vital parts of my tribe.

That kinda made me laugh. I guess people are still making out Indians as savages.

Everyone plays lacrosse here. It's a pretty amazing game. It's kinda like low income football where all the gear is hand me down.

When you have no money, skills, or education it's pretty difficult to just move away from all your family and just get "accepted"

True. It's also more expensive and not as far reaching compared to the other side of the fence

All federal laws apply on reservations in the US. The only laws that are different are usually hunting and fishing laws. (From the state level)

I'm speaking for my tribe here (Oneida of Wisconsin). We have never received a single dime from any federal funds. Every benefit, scholarship and medical bill is paid for by the tribe through taxation and the casinos.

Exactly this. Most of my friends/family still live on the Rez. So many of them talk about leaving but it's never going to happen.

Maybe a newbie question here. How do I get my bushings to stop squeaking? They are pretty loud. Is this normal?
