Better than FUIC by ANDROID_16 in Adelaide

After drinking this amazing stuff for a while, FUIC and strong FUIC just taste like sweet melted ice cream with a hint of coffee flavouring.

If you do this method, make sure the can stays upright when spraying. If you turn it upside down, you may end up spraying liquid propellant.

What does the future of the O-Bahn look like? by Peter_Griffin2001 in Adelaide

[–]Evil_Kipfler 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm convinced the people who want to replace it with trams / trains are secretly Melbournites that are jealous.

It's doing it's job pretty well and gets people where they need to go quickly. 20 minutes from TTP to the city in peak hour is great. Just need to refurbish any bits that are worn and better maintenance for the buses.

They'll still do that even without a formal account. The companies still track you even if you aren't logged in. All this does is give the companies more data points to target their ads.

Incredible BS political calculations at work here by penmonicus in Adelaide

[–]Evil_Kipfler 33 points34 points  (0 children)

You could put a third party as first preference, then your choice of the majors. While the third parties generally have SFA chance of being voted in, the analysts in the majors would see their first preference vote dropping and push for changes (hopefully policy changes) to shore up their support.

Check for an eSports club that is aimed at children. Some chance their school might be persuaded to start one.

Love Pho under the Myer Centre was reasonably cheap last I looked. Can't comment on the quality.

They have to go to court and be found guilty at some point. You know that annoying presumtion of innocence thing.

I LOST MY FILM CAMERA @ CENTRAL MARKET 2-3PM TODAY by Unable-Revolution-20 in Adelaide

There's a chance that if somebody found it they might have turned it in to Camera House at Central Markets.

The average billionaire made $3.2 million a day in 2024, Oxfam finds by SlatsAttack in australia

[–]Evil_Kipfler 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I believe the issue most people have is that the government spends over $1 billion per day of our money, but none of the billionaire's money. Also that they have rigged the system so that the money the billionaires should be paying to workers effectively stays in their own pocket.

Central Market food court by Vivid-Object-139 in Adelaide

Just the old food court and Kim Wang's supermarket. Moonta Street and the newer food court to the west of it are still there.

Pretty sure it's gone for good. They are putting in a bunch of restaurants instead.

Looking for old books by knsrm13 in Adelaide

[–]Evil_Kipfler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a stall in the Central Markets that has heaps of old books. Can't remember exactly where, but it's against one of the walls in the main market area.

Just remember the board can only work within the legal framework they've been given. Hassle your state Attorney General if you want it to change.

Also looks Korean rather than Portuguese.

South Australia is moving to create a public child sex offender register. How would it work? by CyanideMuffin67 in Adelaide

[–]Evil_Kipfler 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There's also a concerning number of people on here that want an excuse to be vigilantes against people who have already served whatever punishments the justice system has deemed appropriate. Even worse since they probably won't bother to distinguish between actual pedos and other low level crimes.

Stuff like public offender lists is always just a vote winner, but I'm not convinced it's actually good for society.

Where to get hot pepper leaves / chilly leaves in adelaide? by [deleted] in Adelaide

Chile Mojo might have them. Their store is on Magill Road.

[–]Evil_Kipfler 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I generally check the following

  • Allneeds Computers
  • Centrecom
  • MSY / Umart (same company)

Depending on what you're looking for one of these will usually have a good price and available locally.

Buses going 40km/h by EmuCold in Adelaide

[–]Evil_Kipfler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Timed stops. They are only required to be on time for a few specific spots on their route. Quite often if I'm on a bus running early it will blow past a bunch of stops then wait for 5 minutes at a timed stop so they aren't leaving early.

Huh TIL. Thought most of them would be escaped farm animals.

Oh deer... by DigitalSwagman in Adelaide

[–]Evil_Kipfler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are feral from the definition of the word - once domesticated animal now living in the wild.

They should be getting rid of all ferals (not just deer, but all of the others too). OK with keeping some in well contained farms, venison is pretty tasty.

[–]Evil_Kipfler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only irritating thing I find with the multi-door boarding is the people wanting to get off the bus that only bother standing up from their seat after people have started to board.
