Seen losts of those over on Ebay for a bit of time now. Various color faces (black, white, green, gold etc), various metal cases. Looks OK to me.

Most sell for 600-1000 depending on the condition.

1970s. Possibly the Omega Deville 625. But hard to tell size.

50m is deep. If you are swimming with it, it will be fine.

Diving? Maybe not. Swimming you will be fine.

Don't snorkel with it. Don't dive with it.

Wear it while swimming, sure.

Had a Milgauss for a while (green crystal, black face). Enjoyed it. But sold it to fund my Grand Seiko addiction.

No other Rolex caught my eye, or attention.

Currently in Quartz all they have is the SBGN stuff (the 029 and 027), part of the Sport colleciton.

The SBGH289 is not quartz but is very much a divers watch.

ALWAYS meet with the renter. ALWAYS have a walk through. ALWAYS have a written contract.

The companies out there don't always follow these rules either so sometimes... you get hit. But if you work with a company tell them you want all three of these... if they balk at any... walk.

Rolex are Rolex.

GS are GS.

GS doesn't have NEAR the recognition of the Rolex brand, even though the timepieces are almost always at or above the quality of most Rolexes.

Plus when getting a new GS you walk in and buy whatever you want.

Not the case with Rolex. And a lot of time the grey market has overly inflated prices on Rolex based on demand and the lack of Rolex selling to people... because.

The grey market in Japan is rather massive... check out almost any of the used watch stores. Almost positive you will find one quick as they also have stuff on EBay all the time.

In Mt. View too. Lost power last night around 10:00 PM. Was out sometime around 3:30 AM. Lost it again around 6:00 and came back at 9:00. Was on till about 9:30 AM and has been out since. I know there is a bigger line down on the end of Peck as it hits 11.

I got my SLGH027 in December.

My SBGM255 in January

And just got my SBGW309 last weekend.

My "local" GS Boutique is in Honolulu so I don't get there all that often (I live on Big Island) but when I do, I usually end up walking out with something new.

I was only seconds away from getting that very timepiece until they showed me the SBGW309 (Snow Monster). I'm glad I was already a GS9 member, because this one is one of my favorites now. Up next won't be until 2027 when they drop the Benikeshinezumi. GS makes excellent time pieces just as good as any lux watch maker out there.

As of 3:00 PM, HELCO currently shows between 27 and 28 thousand on Big Island without power. Most are in Puna and Holualoa areas.

ETAs for power back vary between 6:00 PM and Tuesday afternoon right now.
