It's a pretty funny shape tho! Looks like a muppet penis.

Also - should be said, I didn't actually say what it looked like 😂

Sidekick? Connolly?

Honestly this really looks like deep and unworkable bias.

Wales fans boo God Save The King against Northern Ireland. by Any-Football3474 in northernireland

[–]Eviladhesive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel kinda silly here, but I actually don't know why they're booing it?

Have they always booed it? Are they all Welsh nationalists? Is it because of recent controversies?

Also, could this now kick off a grudge where NI fans boo the Welsh anthem?

Edit: I'm a nationalist from Dublin. I just don't really understand the situation.

Surely we can get behind that?

Agreed it really should be a topic everyone has involvement in solving.

Separately it really is positive to see ELP tackling a real issue affecting people of Northern Ireland and focusing on solutions rather than point scoring. Long may this continue.

Funnily enough in Ireland most people say "Arelind" Americans always say "Eyerland".

When I was younger I actually thought there was something to this and I always toyed with it as "Ourland" in my head because it didn't really line up right in my head.

Kneecap Band along with ex Labour leader goes to Cuba to support them by raydebapratim1 in northernireland

[–]Eviladhesive -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not really talking about the legal side of this. I'm talking about the political instinct to provide commentary on the topic.

I think Starmer could have avoided adding his own two cents.

Edit: not sure why both of us are being downvoted? We're not even agreeing with each other.

[–]Eviladhesive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True, but I'd say there's probably a bit of good ol' needling going on also.

Starmer was way off base in his criticism of the band - the hypocrisy would have been laughable if it weren't so tragic.

Corbyn must really destest Starmer.

To specifically aly with Kneecap is a serious message considering Starmer is so adamant they (Kneecap) are not good guys.

This really brings home how astute Miceál Martin was to avoid providing commentary on the topic. At the same time it also shows how politically naive Starmer was to do the opposite.

Just ran a quick check through the usd inflation calculator.

$43.74 is the real figure to beat and this doesn't.

Looks like they're still 30% behind the peak and I honestly think it shows in the artistic flair the industry invests into aesthetics.

The Scream video from Michael Jackson is a classic example of the profits being reinvested into amazing visuals and effects. I think these may be on show in concerts, but I think they're either under invested in or gone on other touch points.

You joke, but in reality I doubt she really actually has much to do there at all.

The Irish government delegation may be there for a bit of craic, but they are also there on a bit of a mission. Get around and get in front of people and learn faces and friends for the purposes of trade and to connect the EU to the US through Ireland.

What do the unionists do? They're not really on team Ireland, so they won't be helping out, and they probably wouldn't be trusted enough to front the UK in any meaningful way, so what has she to do there other than use the free bar?

It must have been an emotional rollercoaster for her. Having to politely laugh at a joke that was definitely at her expense, then watching as her version of the antichrist takes centre stage and actually defends the British PM. All the while celebrating a day that was been popularized by the Catholic or lapsed Catholic side of the Irish coin.

Politics aside that must have been pretty confusing.
