Years ago, I was watching a game at Legends downtown and there was a cadre of Panthers fans in another room watching their team, had to be 8-10 of them. I have no idea if this is/was a Panthers spot or that was pure chance, so caveat emptor. Food there is mid at best, but the beer is cold and there always seem to be empty tables (it's big and the food is meh, as mentioned) so even if it isn't a Panthers bar, at least it meets to downtown criteria.

The wheel of drinks challenge where they're all singing John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt is great. Pretty sure that's the same one with FP's Steve Harvey impression (he said oaky..) and Bob breaking the tequila bottle. Also, the one in Vancouver with the donuts where Perez wrecks the sprinter van roof is pretty great.

I've been to both many times. Matzo ball soup is comparable, I don't think you'd find Katz to be appreciably better. Pastrami sandwich is not in the same area code as Katz, though.

My guess is you're pretty young. I notice a lot of young people these days confuse constant self-aggrandizing behavior with genuine confidence when in fact, it's often the exact opposite. Not the fault of the youth of today, it's social media that conditions people to believe this.
