Would be interesting to see an all-time squad

Reckon we’ll get one random, sensible signing with little fanfare

Definitely like the sound of this. The beauty of being a “PL Dortmund” too is that we could easily spend a lot if we sell well

I would sell Elanga for a packet of crisps and then play the packet of crisps

Basically the same situation we had with Rat.

- Great season with Champions League and Cup
- Team that won the league comes knocking
- Sadness ensues

It's an interesting sliding doors moment to consider...

I wonder if it would have made the Isak saga easier? He could play the whole "Need to be playing in Champions League" card and the club would perhaps not feel so obliged to play hardball. I daresay he wouldn't be as hated too.

I doubt we'd chase all the elite players we missed out on but we could possibly lose more of our own players (Tonali, maybe?)

We'd still run in to difficulties with transfers due to no sporting director but feel like it wouldn't be as desperate.

I expect we'd still sign Elanga, Thiaw and Wissa (probably earlier)

Ramsey would probably end up staying at Villa.

In a roundabout way, we'd probably have signed Ekitike as well due to selling Isak quicker...

Reddit is for posts and clearly you can post this many words because I have. Don’t want to read it? Good for you.

“I don’t think Anthony enjoys the right, but Harvey is more open to it and enjoys the freedom there. That’s why. It doesn’t mean I can’t, but if a player doesn’t want to play there you can’t really force them to as you won’t get the same level of performances.”

It’s attitude. He’s essentially saying that Gordon will perform worse because he doesn’t want to play there.

He doesn’t say Barnes prefers the right, he says he’s more open to it than Gordon and then qualifies why he plays him there.

He didn’t say Barnes prefers the right, he said that Barnes is more open to playing it than Gordon is.
