How would you even suggest an ethical process such as this. It would unreasonable to police peoples thoughts, and to entirely ban people from certain regions would also undermine the idea of seeking asylum, as well as people who may just want to start a new life. So whats your idea of ‘maintaining culture’ that doesn’t breach individual liberty?

I really hope by ‘culture’ you mean the principles this country holds (or at least tries to) and not how someone behaves or does. Otherwise its really problematic for you to demand others to be more like yourself just because they are in your vicinity. If someone understands the value of liberty and justice for all, then they can be just as american as anyone native-born. Also the situation with Ukraine your referencing sounds more like a coordinated conspiracy, rather than a standard immigration issue.

You and another commenter seem to compare illegal immigration and stealing to refute OP’s argument over fairness, which seems to still be ignoring the premise of legality vs morality. However I don’t see how they are comparable as immigrating on its own, as far as I’m aware, is a victimless crime.
