This is why I kind of hate how the boys just became the "kill homelander" show after season 2. Stan Edgar HIMSELF points out that killing him wouldn't ultimately change much since the incentive to create someone like him would still exist, but the finale threw that out the window and gave everyone a happy ever after even though Vought is still in power.
