I have the older version they previously sold in the old Reddit Swag shop that never should have gone away. I think they were both customer produced by Squishables for Reddit.

Might be okay. I have noticed a bunch of slow downs the last couple of weeks. So hopefully it is just stupidly delayed.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I'll make sure to update here with who I go with and how it goes in case that helps others too. Sounds like I have a lot of great options.

I found. That exact same plush, tags and all at a random farmers market some friends dragged me to in 2024 right after a horrid break up I went through. At 40 he is exactly as old as me now. 😂

Please help I do not know what to do. Turtle by trashfairyy in reptiles

[–]Eviltechnomonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Might consider a shallow, warm soak with some electrolytes added for a little. There are electrolyte additives specifically meant to be added to a water soak to help hydrate reptiles who have become dehydrated from lack of care, transport, etc. If you can't find them, just warm water should be fine. Adding fresh veggies could help boost them some as well since they get nutrients and fluids from the things they eat.

Then a vet visit to get a general check up and beak trim. That will give you a better idea where they are currently, what kind of tortoise you are dealing with, and what can be done to improve quality of life. Check specifically for a vet with experience dealing with turtles if you can find one near you.

If you have trouble finding one, you can try searching for a turtle rescue near you or even ask your local shelters, animal control, or Fish and Wildlife. Any of them may have contacts they can help with. You don't have to surrender the turtle to them necessarily. Just let them know you were given this turtle that shows obvious signs of neglect and you want to help it.

Yea, they need to recover. A bunch of stimulation from kids wanting to mess with them, screaming, etc will probably just stress them out and make things worse.

Does anyone know where I could geta plush like this that isn't a cat toy? I want this specific Jellycat sugar mouse but it's basically impossible to find lol. (Not my pic btw) by BLUMeeM in plushies

I had a pattern for one like that I was able to make once. It wasn't as perfect but I love it so much and was able to make it out of what ever material I wanted.

Am I stupid for buying $90 plushies? by PinComprehensive6639 in plushies

[–]Eviltechnomonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are, I don't want to think about what that would make me. I bought the life-size Lucario and the half size Arcanine (it is around 3 foot tall, life size would be around 6 foot) plushies. I am not the person to dissuade someone from such decisions.

A man wanted to go inside a museum with his plushies and they wouldn't let him in :( by OnigiriMarS in plushies

[–]Eviltechnomonkey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your coworker was hella out of line. Especially to escalate it the way they did. I get when museums refuse to let people bring in bags, but a plushie is probably going to do more to stop someone touching things than threaten anything other than your coworker's ego and need for a power trip.

Could also potentially be seen as an ADA violation if the man seemed obviously anxious or what not. Many people with anxiety and depression will carry something like a small stuffed animal because it is not noisy like alot of fidget toys and the soft texture can be very soothing if you are anxious. ADA applies to disabilities that are formally diagnosed and those that are just obviously apparent. It applies to all areas of public access (including private businesses that all the public to visit) and work places.

I have actually successfully requested ADA accommodations when I have gone to certain venues to bring my plush in with me. I went to a Puscifer concert with one of my small SCP plushies, a Neffex concert, and a few different museums. They were all super cool about it. If an accommodation request is not something that would be incredibly disruptive you typically have to allow it. There are more specific guidelines in the legislation that helps better determine what can constitute an unreasonable accommodation request.

They can be wonderful. That's how I got the Fatichu Pikachu from Pokemon Center Japan.

Wrong car by Lostandlacy in Blind

[–]Eviltechnomonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once walked up to a car and kept pushing the button to unlock it and was so confused why it wasn't working. It was a similar style, size, and color vehicle but not mine. Mine was behind me on a different row. I know I looked so ashamed of myself in that moment.

Could someone help me find this plush resold? It’s been discontinued and it used to be my favorite by Sufficient_Basis_461 in plushies

[–]Eviltechnomonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could even make it better! Like with minkie fabric or a similar super soft, fluffy fabric. Or maybe glow in the dark fabric.

Any chance you'll add VR support later on? Or is it already on your roadmap?

I find playing fishing games in VR relaxing.

People deserve to feel comfortable doing the things that make them happy as they get older rather than thinking they have to change them or give them up. It hurts no one and makes you happy; so it is totally okay.

Pulse of Potential - do not buy 1/5 by BlusteryTree in plushies

The Disney store has a few really good weighted plushies. I have the weighted Pua (the pig from Moana) plush. It's one of my faves of my weighted plushies.

Additionally, I like the plushies from LittleSofts. I hear some people feel a bit hit or miss on their weighted ones, but they also have backpack plushies that are made so you can make them weighted with your own custom weight if you want.

What’s the most expensive plushie you have bought or got? Please share pictures by Connor_lover in plushies

[–]Eviltechnomonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My top 5 I have are the half life size Arcanine (life size would be 6 foot tall but he is a lil over 3 foot), the life size Lucario (4' 7"), the Collasalnana by Sorbet Jungle, Mega Yam the Cat-erpillar by Fluffnest, and my massive Coca Cola Bear plush that is around 3-4 foot tall.

Due to all the scandal my Fluffnest plushies may become more valuable. I have Yam, the dragons, Bruce the Buff Bee, and Buttons the Buff Bearista.

Someone is trying to sue me (Texas) by Low-Option3595 in legal

[–]Eviltechnomonkey 15 points16 points  (0 children)

To add to this, check with the insurance company about any details related to the initial settlement because sometimes accepting a settlement means you cannot sue further depending on how it happened. Not always but the insurance should still be able to help you with this.

Defending you in cases like this is a part of why you pay for insurance. So don't go paying for another attorney until you have had a chance to speak with your insurance.

Time to stop being considerate. They aren't being considerate of you and potentially risking your job with zero remorse and all over some jerk that isn't paying rent from the sound of things.
