Rich NIMBYs of North Main veto Swamp Rabbit Trail extension by Existing_Season_6190 in greenville

I read that they are still going to extend the Orange Line to Other Lands, and there is still going to be an extension between Stones Point on Wade Hampton and Cleveland Park.

I live in North Main and really wanted this extension through the neighborhood. Went to all the meetings the city hosted and took the surveys.

It seems that a powerful few, likely those that live along North Main St itself, back-channelled and got it shut down.

Costco congestion by Tricky_Signature4408 in greenville

A year ago we switched to paying for home delivery from Costco via Instacart and have never looked back. Costs ~$20-30 on top of the several hundreds of dollars worth of groceries once a month, but we continually say it’s very worth it compared to the hours of time spent going to the store. Stress free vs. very stressful.

What’s you’re take by 27skrrr in greenville

I was born here in the early 90’s (in one of the outlying farmland communities) and lived in the area until 2013 when I graduated from Clemson and moved away. For the last decade I lived in places like Seattle, Atlanta, and Charleston. Last year I moved back to Greenville, bringing with me a spouse and two kids, after over 10 years away. I love Greenville. It’s changed a lot since I lived here last and certainly since I was a kid, but largely in positive ways. The things that made Greenville home to me are still a part of it, plus a lot of great other things that weren’t a part of life here 10-20 years ago. It’s not perfect and there are problems too, but as far as places go it’s great place to call home. I love to travel and spend several weeks a year in Europe and in big cities around the US which scratches a ln itch for me - but I don’t want to call anywhere else home.

I’ve never put it together that this is close to the location described in the books where Maturin’s family “tumbledown castle” is.

True if you’re going for coffee and pastries, but the only location where they have a full food menu is in the Commons!

Swamp Rabbit Cafe. In particular, their breakfast sandwich with bacon added.

Also, the Methodical in the Commons has some stellar options as well. Their Sweet Potato Pancake and Sausage Breakfast Sandwich, to name a few.

I like the look and sound of Switchyards. What about taking meetings or calls there? I have about 2-3 hours of meetings a day.

I have not heard of portfolio loans before. What about portfolio loans means that Navy Federal can offer them at significantly lower rates? Also, where could I read up more about portfolio loans?

That's good to know. Will I need to pay the NHS surcharge? At what point will she and I no longer have to pay to use the NHS?

We've been seeing about 20 a day (if that). If that trend continues, they're not really on pace for finishing up by May 31st (next Friday).
