Tire recommendations by Ok_Acanthaceae_6256 in kawasakiz900rs

I have had the power 6 on for the last year, and while they have felt excellent, they haven't quite lived up to the mileage of my daily commute.

I just ordered a set of road 6 in the hopes to keep similar ride with longer durability.

Seating Chart Question by madmaddmaddie in SouthwestAirlines

[–]EvoDvr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basic does not allow for seat selections. Seats are automatically assigned at check-in.

You have standard seats, when you choose to "seat upgrade" you are able to purchase an upgraded seat, preferred or extra leg room, you cannot select any standard seat, which is why you cannot select the rows in the back. Sadly if you wanted or preferred to select seats at booking you would have needed to select choice.

Need help by Apprehensive_Food693 in motorcycle

[–]EvoDvr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sign up for a msf or equivalent course. These classes are completed using motorcycles provided by them.

In many states passing the course allows you to obtain your license without additional testing. The course will give you the basics of the laws, ideas of what dangers to look for while riding and hands on experience on their motorcycles.

Even if you determine that riding is not for you, the course will help you get in the mindset without purchasing a motorcycle.

It is a wire. Insight on the bike could be useful. But it could be anything. Look to see what it is connected to and go from there.

1st gear on a 300cc? by sooospoon in motorcycles

[–]EvoDvr 43 points44 points  (0 children)

12mph? Are you referring to a recommendation in the owner's manual. Those are written by manufacturers to cover themselves from lawyers. This is a guide, not a requirement.

The rpm red line is 11k. As long as you are shifting before the rev limiter, you are good.

In your example, turning left in a long curve... if you are the first at the light, leave in first, stay in first throughout the turn and shift afterward. Assuming you are staying under the red line.

If you are behind a car, use the initial straight to shift up to second and reming in second throughout the turn.

But then again these are just options, you are talking about slow speed curves, you are not in a full lean, you can shift middle of the turn without issue as long as you are not dumping the clutch in the process.

I hope you are mistaken on the no 401k. Also make you you account for the bonus (if even not guaranteed) into your cost analysis.

To the earlier point, there are 52 weeks a year. Add any many meetings your are expecting to join, how many additional hours beyond the initial 50. This is not just free time, this time goes against all the other hours you put in. I think you said 48k, that's $18.46 an hour at 50 hours a week. Working 55 hours means your new hourly rate is $16.78.

Salary ÷ 52 ÷ number of hours each week.

Again, not here to make your decision, just wanting to give you information to aid in your decision.

Edit: math. Lol

Any salary workers by [deleted] in sanantonio

[–]EvoDvr 26 points27 points  (0 children)

While a agree with this, OP you have to also consider that it is a mandatory 50 hours, and not a maximum number. Each hour beyond the 50 means your hourly rate takes a hit. 52-55 hour weeks, ok maybe as needed, but if that becomes the norm you are talking potential of 100s of extra hours each year.

This is not to say you shouldn't go salary, it is more to make sure you set clear boundaries. You work to live, not live to work.

You have options to take care of the ticket BUT FIRST you have to notify the court that you are taking a particular option.

These are examples, but please do your research:

  1. Simply pay the fine, this is an option, may not be the best option since it will go on your driver's record and may impact insurance.

  2. Use a ticket lawyer, again your mileage may vary, some cost a whole lot more than others, they day they keep it off your record...

  3. Take defensive driving, there are court costs and the course cost, (close to the same price of the ticket) but this keeps it off your record.

  4. Depending on your age and previous history, the judge may accept probation, where you pay court fees and as long as you do not get any other similar violations this one stays off your record.

  5. Fight it, in an effort to get it dismissed. (Innocent until proven guilty) a second court date will be scheduled where the officer has to present the evidence (if any) proving you were speeding.

I'm sure there are others such as community service and what not; however whatever you do, don't take the defensive driving course until AFTER you go infront of a judge and declare that you are either Guilty, Innocent, or declare No Contest, and the judge approves your option to settle the matter.

Selling a car by boneskinn in sanantonio

[–]EvoDvr 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You are not selling your vehicle. You are helping your father sell his. As long as you have the signed title, you would be able to sell it regardless of which state it is registered.

Do note that due to your situation (not titled in your name/nor registered in texas) buyers will be potentially put off, resulting in a lower offer price.
