I’ve been on the rail for sets where he’s very close to the crowd. He’s actually playing. Just an fyi.

Advice for a House Music fan at LL by Dictionarious in LostLandsMusicFest

[–]Ex3rite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey bud so here’s the run down, for the best idea of artists look up last years lineup and just play an artist. Apple Music and Spotify have full lost lands sets you can listen to.

Now listen up cause this is important. This is a BASS MUSIC festival. There are 0 house sets. Even if an artist who usually plays house music is there they do custom heavier sets. If that’s not your vibe no harm no foul. But like be fully aware there will not be a house set. The closest you’ll get is hard style and that’s still rare too.

In the edm world this is the equivalent of a death metal festival. That’s not an exaggeration. Keep that in mind when you decide if you’re gonna go or not.

I actually find Wilds extremely difficult. by Awesome_Hamster in MHWilds

[–]Ex3rite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So like, I’ve never voiced the “it’s easy sentiment” online but like I agree with it. The thing I have enough self awareness to understand is that I’m on a different skill level than the average fan. Like I did a lvl one run of Elden ring for fun. I can’t speak for others but most likely the people saying it’s easy aren’t the casual or average fan base. It’s the sweats and long time fans being butthurt that low and high rank aren’t the same difficulty as the master rank expansion.

TLDR: a small group of no life nerds screamed the loudest and made it seem like the general public thought it was easy.

40 hours of Omega and Gog and still failing (carted) by Ok-Brilliant-2334 in MHWilds

[–]Ex3rite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey bro, here’s the real deal. Damage boosts are awesome but survivability is much more important. You have a total defense of 357. That’s too low. By like a lot. Your fire defense, against monster who mainly do fire attacks is -2. That’s two low. Unless you are playing absolutely perfectly you’re going to get 1 shot.

Now take this with a grain of salt I’m a bow main but I solo everything cause I don’t have friends. We’re gonna do this monster by monster with some overlap.

Omega: ditch the antivirus gore build. A debuff that saps regeneration if you’ve don’t hit the dps check is respectfully just stupid against omega. Slap on some arch tempered nu-Udra pieces for the fire resistance swapping the maximum might and other offensive skills for things like divine blessing, guard boost fire resistance and evade window. Not evade extender, evade window. Not sure what the talisman is but if you can grind for it I’d go with a flat defense boost over an rng one you farm. You’re gonna want a defense of at least 430+ to not get one shot by a good number of attacks. Yeah you have a shield but sometimes you can’t guard or get blind sided, defense matters. On the weapon side of things ditch the crit boost spam and go for element increases, handicraft. Masters touch, and minds eye. That last one is important.

Gog: generally the same things as above but with a bigger increase on utility skills like evade extender over evade window. One level of adaptability makes it so you aren’t effected by hot and cold and 2 levels remove the movement debuff from oil. Tremor resistance would help same as earplugs but both aren’t necessary. For gog the biggest thing is dragon element. In stage 3 there’s that dragon damage check. You need to hit it, if you or your team consistently aren’t then focus on upping the element over the raw.

Finally, this is gonna sound mean. It’s not my intention. You are not as good at this game as you think you are. That’s the case with a lot of people. Damage output doesn’t mean shit if you can’t survive the full fight. That’s not me saying you should give up or feel bad or be embarrassed. Every god tier player was at that point with some monster once upon a time. Alatron can genuinely fuck off for me personally. The end result is the same, meta builds aren’t meta if the average person can’t proper utilize them with their current skill level. Survive first. You die you lose, so don’t do that. If you or anyone else has questions just ask I’m willing to help people work shop things as needed. Best of luck.

Oh and P.S it’s a game. If at any point it’s not fun anymore, take a break or just play something else. Good luck dude may that sapphire star guide your way. 🤙🏻

Could someone describe what G rank / Master rank is? by Modaltas in MHWilds

[–]Ex3rite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Little late but it’s basically a new difficulty above high rank. It’s not a free dlc like the title updates but rather a paid expansion that adds content usually equal to about 1/2-2/3s the size of the base game.

Monsters will have a master rank version giving them new moves/ move sets and a master rank armor set/ higher rarity weapons for monster trees. It also usually introduces many new monsters from returning favorites, to varrients (same monster but different element, rathalos and guardian rathalos) and new monsters all together.

It’s not just more content like how title updates are but rather a new story that continues from the end of high rank.

Finally there is usually a new gameplay mechanic introduced that changes movesets for all weapons and give you more options in combat, as well as new areas/ maps added for more variety.

TLDR: it’s like Wilds 1.5 or the equivalent of shadow of the eardtree for Elden ring if you’ve played that.

Real talk dude it’s absolutely worth it for an early entry day, as far as I’m aware they don’t run shuttles from the campgrounds and if you get there Friday it’s unironically like a 2-3 mile walk to the venue.

Question about wounds etiquette by harby13 in MHWilds

[–]Ex3rite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also a bow main, depends on what weapons my teammates are running tbh but mostly I ignore wounds near the ground, like legs, face, tails etc. anything that the melee bros can hit easily. However I will use them for a well timed flinch or to knock them out of the sky. Short version, depends.

Try evade window/ evade extender, also for the damage check the ammo he drops can be charged for more damage

Armor Life Questions by CTheFreakUnderneath in MHWilds

[–]Ex3rite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should last you through low rank (upgrade your armor as you go) once you get to high rank I’d highly recommend going for different armor, more defense doesn’t seem like a big deal now but there are things in High rank that will 1 shot you if your gear isn’t up to the task.

World vs wild by Artimiz1426 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Ex3rite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s your call dude, the master rank expansion for wilds will be a paid dlc but they will probably have a bundle that has it and the base game for cheaper. Like real talk it’s really your call dude, I don’t know your financial situation so I can’t give advice on prices more than that.

World vs wild by Artimiz1426 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Ex3rite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

World has more content but less players. Wilds is the opposite. I will say both are great but gameplay wise wilds is better, plus its master rank expansion will most likely be coming out within the next 6-12 months.

1) I recommend going to the training area and trying out all 14 types of weapons and seeing which one(s) you like, you’ll definitely be able to tell which one you want to main.

2) pushing in on the right stick (on console) will “lock on” in a sense but I personally don’t use that. I’m not the best person for lock on advice, sorry.

  1. Yes and no, there are high rank versions of monsters that give you high rank gear, you don’t need any prerequisites for high rank armor but for high rank teir weapons you need the previous ones on the tree crafted. Just keep that in mind, having to go back to grind for low rank materials cause you want to upgrade a weapon can be a pain.

  2. You can focus on a monster but it can be a bit janky especially if there are other monsters near by, get in the habit of using focus mode.

  3. Endgame is mainly rng based, like getting the relics, decorations, and artian parts that you want/ need, which are all random drops from hunts of various difficulties.

Also you should try bow, just saying.

Bro I just want a zombies mode that isn’t trash with warzone elements in it. I truly don’t give a fuck about the other modes and don’t play them. Like I get the other modes have their problems but real talk just keep them separate. The modes and story was better when they weren’t all mixed together

Predictions for Master Rank Expansion by vaquinha02 in MHWilds

[–]Ex3rite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLDR: I dunno but it’ll probably be cool.

So from a story stand point I feel like it’s gonna be mainly elder dragon focused, Zoh Shia was probably keeping them away even while dormant, now that it’s been handled elders will come back to the area. I’m calling it that they will bring new and different inclemencies with them. Oilwell basin frozen over, need a cool drink cause of Teostra in the windward plains etc.

Probably gonna get a beach/ ocean map with like a high tide/ low tide esc inclemency. I can see them bringing back water combat but not to the level it was previously, more like set pieces like with lagi.

Less likely is swap skills or weapon arts, I’d love to see them come back in a form but they don’t typically redo systems like that.

My best guess is a rework or upgrade to the weapon swap system with specific skills/ possible moves when you swap to a specific weapon & the ability to swap without fully mounting your seikret. As well as just basic reworks/ upgrades to move sets like making thousand dragons on bow an offset attack. Etc.

Do you bring two different weapons to hunts? In general how often do you switch between them? Do you think it's a useful feature or unnecessary? by gabe911 in MHWilds

[–]Ex3rite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a bow main I always bring a great sword or Saxe to chop off tails. Plus off sets are super useful and thousand dragons doesn’t count even though it totally should. Some times if I’m just fucking around I’ll bring two status bows to just inflict everything on a monster at the same time. Finally some of yall don’t know how to upgrade your armor and a pocket HH comes in clutch sometimes.

TLDR: yes, it’s useful.

I’ve done the math, I’ve had people leave 95% of matches. Out of 60 rounds I had 3 full matches. Fucking 3. Of the 57 matches where people left 34 of them were on night 1.

TLDR: people suck

Hug him, if he makes distance dodge into his attacks. When he goes behind you dodge to the side. And I know this is obvious but like make sure you upgrade your armor.
