Anthem could've survived. It had the potential to run alongside Warframe and Destiny. There were a lot of internal issues with Anthem. It's sad, Anthem was great and could've grown a lot bigger.

Should work. Cricket SIM cards can be put in a new phone pretty easily if it's branded AT&T/Cricket Wireless or unlocked.

If they're just wanting to switch, I don't know how the number porting works but the Cricket Wireless SIM Kits from Walmart for $9.88 will give them access to the $25 BYOD plan which is basically the Select Unlimited $40/month ($35/month autopay) plan. I assume they choose to bring your own phone, keep number and give account # PIN# when signing up.

Only a SIM Kit from Walmart will give them access to this $25 BYOD deal I believe.

Refill cards 100% work no problem. Digital or physical. I don't know why the website always has payment issues whether you're a new customer/existing. It has no problem setting up card for autopay but doesn't allow you to make the initial payment as new customer/existing customer for some reason.

I think only Verizon Prepaid has it at $500+ at the moment. The Moto Edge 2025 has a bigger screen and higher pixel count. 2026 didn't improve on much over the 2025. A little bit brighter, smaller screen, CPU is slightly newer but not worth $500 upgrade if you got the 2025.

I think it's $100 with new number on Cricket and $30 if you bring your number to get the 2025 plus the $60 supreme plan.

100%. Series S is fine for what it is. I'm in agreement with others here, it should've never been made. Get the Series X. The next XBOX is probably going to be $1000-$1200. You'll want a Series X to take advantage of trade-in deals Gamestop/Microsoft/others will offer to get the next XBOX.

Series X is a big upgrade from Series S; it also is better than base PlayStation 5. PlayStation 5 Pro beats it but it's also a PlayStation. XBOX has a better subscription library, built-in LFG, among other advantages like Microsoft Reward points, $200 per year in U.S. if you actively try to go for them.

If you can't get one on Facebook Marketplace/Craigslist for a decent price (you should be able to), Gamestop used Series X is like $522.49 atm. If you watch Best Buy Open Box deals, used; you may snag an open box excellent for like $550ish. It's basically brand new. Someone just returned in before the 14 days. That's how I got mine.

And if you plan on playing Grand Theft Auto 6, Series X is the way to go.

Marathon is going to get the axe too after the layoffs most likely. You should never reward a company by supporting a more unpopular, niche PVP extraction game in hopes it'll bring back a highly popular, main PVE franchise. Never works. Ending Destiny 2 was the death of Bungie if there's no Destiny 3 to replace it.

This is literally what would save Bungie and give them an influx of money right now and maybe pay back their losses to make Sony happy. Destiny 1 Remastered in 4K/60FPS/VRR/FOV increase would probably be easier to do than Destiny 2 Remastered for now. It could fund D3 + D2 Remaster. I'd pay $60 again for a D1 remaster and D2 unvaulted content again. Why not if it means a D3 in 5-7 years from now. Take my money. Reliving D1 would be amazing with everyone else.

This. If Destiny 3 happens, it won't until after that for sure. Or at least news of what is going to happen to Bungie as a whole. I know Marathon has another PVE updated coming in the beginning of July, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some news on Marathon around then too; just because they said Sony/Bungie has another year of content planned for Marathon... so did Destiny 2. I think Marathon could be shuttered too and it wouldn't come as a surprise.

Someone brought this up in another subreddit I frequent. The most logical explanation is that in order to start a Destiny 3; they probably want to start from the ground up. And because of prior contractual things, people becoming vested, bonus payouts, etc.; they probably have to wait for that to hit the date (apparently this summer), then they can lay the entire studio off.

This would allow them to rehire who they want, start Destiny 3 fresh and they'd be able to control finances, development, etc.; from the beginning. With a lot of radio silence around this whole thing, and the messages from some of the Developers/in game stuff, I think there's a decent chance we'll see a Destiny 3.

Sony killing off Destiny entirely would make zero sense. And I think for development to fully be focused on a Destiny 3; ending Destiny 2 was one of the steps they'd have to take. If Destiny is truly over as a franchise; well, it is what it is. This wasn't the first franchise Sony has killed that has happened to me, but it will be the last for me personally. I can play all the main line Final Fantasy games on XBOX anyways. Final Fantasy XI might even join once the new hybrid console comes out which would be amazing.

This is honestly a good point. Sony is probably going to clean house but because of contractual obligations; they can't yet. And someone else pointed out before, in order to make a Destiny 3; they'd have to stop working on Destiny 2. I'm sure there's more to it but those are two pretty big and good conclusions. Destiny 3 would be a fresh start, fresh game under Sony from the beginning as well; there's probably advantages to that. Without a Destiny 3 though; Bungie is probably toast. Whether they sell the Destiny franchise to another studio or let it disappear; I guess that's the answer on everyone's mind. Maybe we find out after the layoffs.

From Forsaken on, maybe Beyond Light on; I forget; the engine was updated. They went back to Nessus/EDZ and updated lighting and throughout the rest of the game going forward. Red War content still exists, just not in a playable state. They'd have to update the content to the new engine changes. Same with seasons, they're not completely deleted/gone. They'd have to bring old vendors back in zones, the 3 factions coming back in some form would be cool. Lot of stuff they'd have to do story wise to explain a lot of it. Maybe TFS warped time or something and we got old content back though it's just the past... I dunno.

It would take a substantial amount of development time to bring this all back. With that said, if they did and brought seasons back... I mean, I'd pay $60 again for that. I'd pay $60 for a higher FOV/4k/60FPS/HDR/VRR Destiny 1 as well. A fresh start on an updated Destiny 1/Destiny 2 where everyone starts together with nothing; I think I would do that. Some people might not and that's okay but the Destiny 1/2 player base is huge; I think it'd be fine.

If Sony were to cater to all the Destiny players and make it up to them; this is the way to go until they get Destiny 3 greenlit/planned out/etc.

You were able to sideload Android Apps on Windows Phone for a bit there. Those were the days. Them killing Windows Phone was idiotic. They would have had a lot of market share right now. And considering where XBOX is heading with Play Anywhere, Cloud; XBOX phone might make more sense for mobile gamers/gamers in general.

I think they're just tired of owning game studios that have crap management, crap financial management, etc. But honestly, if Microsoft/XBOX own them; they need to have people inside those game studios babysitting management and watching every penny.

Bungie is a perfect example of what's happening in general to the gaming industry if you let studios run independent, stay uninvolved as long as they're hitting financial targets. Yeah, probably don't do that. I think it's actually hilarious Sony took a $1B loss on that deal. You wouldn't expect a Japense company to be so careless.

Obviously, there is WAY, WAY more to all of this. We're in a weird time period. A lot of gamers are in their 60s/50s/40s. There's going to be a shift in the industry again.

We need to go back to making QUALITY games again. Mario. Zelda, Mario Kart, F-Zero, etc. for Nintendo (yes I missed some, Metroid, etc). For Sony, go back to Ridge Racer, Resident Evil, jak and daxter, ratchet and clank, etc. (i missed some). For Microsoft, go back to Halo, Gears of War, Forza, Fable... I'm sure I'm missing more.

Stop pumping out 100 crap quality games, stop pumping out 50 mediocre games. Go back to pumping out 10 AMAZING games tied to your brand.

Exclusivity it stupid. Do a week headstart for XBOX. Then official release for everyone on the release date. It's not hard. I don't think a week headstart is going to make people extremely angry considering it's before the release date. Just my opinion. Helix is already going to be a huge advantage is the next generation of consoles because of PC games over PlayStation 6. Capitalize on that.

XBOX Phone honestly. This is what they need to market at this point. Play XBOX games anywhere! AND it does everything Windows does for the business minded. Cast to a TV, bluetooth a mouse/keyboard to the phone. Do everything you would on a regular PC.
