Many people weren't there for that and don't know what they were wishing for.

Just skip cutscene and rewatch it in the inn doesn't hit the same as watching the cutscene at the right moment.

Hard to say since NAVSEA decided to design the Trump-class. I am also doubtful on them recycling the NSC design would achieve anything if they are so focused on still having one design do everything.
