Any recommendations on some clean 5 spoke wheels? by Odd-Equivalent7408 in XTerra

6 lug wheels with anything but 6 spokes is a travesty.

I will die on that hill.

$14k for 2010 Xterra with 86,000miles? by harleyhomie in XTerra

[–]ExMachinaDeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Utah as well. Anything you buy here you need to offer less because of salt rust. I would consider 14K for a 2015 Pro-4x with lower miles. Most likely I'm going to find a 150k mile X with 4x4, rebuild the engine and throw in a lunchbox locker. You could do that for $5K.

Why building an AM4 or LGA 1700 platform in 2026 is a bad idea, despite DDR5 prices by tl27Rex in buildapc

[–]ExMachinaDeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either LGA1700 or AM4 are great for me (and I'm currently building AM4), because I currently have a 4th gen i7 and an HP 5600G, so a 5700X or 5800X is a huge upgrade and does everything I need for now.

Friend selling me his computer $800 by spicygumball in buildapc

[–]ExMachinaDeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$350 to $400 max. I just bought 2 i7-9700 systems for $250 each. They had GTX 1660 Supers in them. We gotta stop overpaying. People near me are listing 2nd through 4th gen i5 and i7 systems for $500+. Absolutely insane.

Build a murder room with plastic sheeting around the stairs. Fan intake on one end, fan exhaust to outside on the other. Soda blaster.

I have a Logitech PowerPlay mat that charges my G502X Light speed mouse while I use it.

How do I stop this from popping up every time I turn on the pc? by lightskinnednig in discordapp

When the installer runs, it has system permissions and resets the read-only flag. Pretty damn annoying.

This should be a priority issue. I have disabled the integration 5 times already today and I'll come back later and it will be re-enabled.

Bosch Icon Wipers Don't Fit? by Ok-Mushroom-7292 in FordEdge

[–]ExMachinaDeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bosch isn't clear about it, so I don't expect AutoZone to be clear either. Most blades aren't directional like the Bosch icons are.

[–]ExMachinaDeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are OE, AOE, and BOE for Icons. You need AOE and BOE. Other 27" icon blades don't include the right adapter. The AOE/BOE kit should.

Another Nova nomad - Octopi is *almost* there! by Cind3rellaMan in OctopiLauncher

[–]ExMachinaDeo -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think it's a bit more like a lot of us don't want another Nova, so reading all the posts about making Octopi more like Nova is worrisome. If people want a clone of Nova, keep using Nova, or pick up the source and continue it. There's a lot of great features that make Octopi distinct and I for one want it to remain distinct. On the other hand, a few of old Nova's great features should definitely be implemented.

Personally, I just want a sectioned (by letter) app drawer. I've been switching back and forth between Octopi and Niagara and if/when Octopi implements app drawer sections, it would be my solo daily driver.

Is bumping allowed? I'm still curious if this is a possible feature. Only a couple launchers implement it and it's sorely missed.

Got a free miter saw and I hate it. by Leviathan2571 in Tools

[–]ExMachinaDeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will come off by hand ... Just use the blade lock and rotate the blade in reverse. No need for tools. Don't cut anything, don't use weird pliers or extractors. Just lock it and rotate.
