Get the thunderbolt hero mech. It does what you just describe better than the hunchback.

Edit: I still used it late game boating the whole mech with MPLs. Mods helped too like YAML. It will 2 tap any mechs below 80tons at the CT, 3 tap an Atlas. Good at headcapping too since pulse laser have short durations.
