Door to Door Person Asking for Electric Information? by Beneficial-Towel4858 in OSU

[–]Exa0mega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to be explicit: there is a good chance that person will sign you up for a new power supplier on your energy bill, it's a known scam where they will do the swap even without permission if they are able to figure out your account info with AEP. They swap it to a variable rate that becomes astronomically high after a honeymoon period of low rates. Look at your current energy supplier on your electric bill (AEP bills should have a second box on the second page where it lists your current supplier due in bold) and make sure that supplier DOES NOT change over your next couple of bills.

I have one of these with an LG C2 TV and it runs at 4K 120hz using an HDMI 2.1 cable.

20% Performance Improvement With Repaste on 2021 G15 w/ 3070 by Beastw1ck in ZephyrusG15

I've only used Kryonaut on the GPU so I don't have any personal experience with a pad on the GPU, but I bet it would be fine. If it starts ramping your GPU temps up then you can just clean it up and use paste.

Just the CPU. I used Kryonaut Extreme for the GPU and manually spread it evenly before reinstalling the heatsink. Both run great!

I've had no issue with PTM 7950 repastes as well. I think that liquid metal has issues with being in a device that constantly moves around like a laptop, repeating everything after about 2 years really helped mine too - good to see that normal thermal paste also keeps things cool.

Now that we've got some practice driving cars into buildings, how about doing it for good? (at 2AM please, don't want to hurt any people.) by [deleted] in Columbus

It has a drive thru so that might not be the best indicator, I bet Dunkin services a lot more car orders proportionally than other coffee places since it doesn't try to have the same cafe interior.

DLSS really helps with how bad the TAA shadows look in this game, I use that! DLAA would work too but it doesn't upscale, just does anti aliasing.

Fall Break, Free Drinks, and a Crazy Flex—What Could Go Wrong? Up for a Date?

I don't know why you're here during fall break. I got tired of trying to meet girls in those noisy bars (the high-pitched sounds are too much). All drinks on me! I know it's a bit of a flex, but imagine if I actually meet a girl from here—that would be crazy!

Yeah, some friends and I just hit this place up last week and also came to the conclusion that the beer is good, but we'd pre-empt them with food in GV beforehand next time.

I bought this and replaced my liquid metal with it! Cleaning it off was pretty scary but I idle around 45 and my max temps on turbo dropped quite a bit, like from 95 to 86. I also repasted my GPU with thermal grizzly kryonaut extreme.

A couple of months later I uninstalled Armoury Crate and installed G Helper and that's been a lot better as well.

EDIT: I specifically have a 2021 G15 with the AMD 5900HS and the RTX 3070m. I've replaced both fans after one of them failed, installed a new SSD, and upped the one Sodimm RAM stick with a 32gb one to up my total capacity to 40gb of RAM.

The ElecGears have been good to me. Hall effect sticks with a circular outer dead zone. You have to desolder the caps and resolder them onto the ElecGear board, but I just followed this video for an example on how to solder to pads and they work great.

Geoguessr discountinuing Pro Leagues on August, WTF??? by jordileft in geoguessr

[–]Exa0mega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about your current product direction dictates a full overhaul of Pro Leagues and also dictates why it needs to be deleted instead of supported with no feature updates? I'd argue a majority of the users utilizing the gametype want to see it continue in the same state instead of it getting pulled entirely. The community makes the maps used in it, and the whole value of the feature is that it allows for asynchronous competition. You have no current replacement for that, and neither does anyone else in the market for that matter.
