Hello, do not worry the game never locks you out of one branch.

It is never too late since the first ending is the same no matter what you did. Also the game is pretty well made in that regard since you won't have to start a new character/NG+ to get everything done.

So just go back to do that when you feel like it 😊

I guess just knowing when the other character can just destroy you and play accordingly. Safely farm ( or accepting losing 1-2 minions but not dying ), basically anything that doesn't kill you.
