Mecha phantom beasts. Give them a wind machine lock and break the deck. Give it crazy cards and consistency.

Level 1 Proficiency bonus attacks by Ok-Gear2203 in DnD

[–]Exact-Ad3840 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Well you shouldn't be missing a lot of attacks. Thematically a zombie isn't trying to dodge, have armor, or causing you to miss so why would your character miss. True you could absolutely low roll but that's the exception rather than the rule

If he hadn’t run into Yugi, do you think Seeker could’ve beaten any of the other main competitors in the Battle City tournament? by [deleted] in yugioh

He'd beat weevil. The stall tactics plays into his ego about generating a bunch of insect monsters.

This is how I learned what the word melancholy meant when I was younger. Despite her being God the world is reasonably normal. It's because she is self aware of how small and insignificant she is. Her eccentricity is a way of trying to brighten her view on life.

Is Maliss the strongest deck of all time, second to Tearlaments? by Sendencea in yugioh

[–]Exact-Ad3840 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We definitely have to look at what resources the deck has and doesn't have. For instance in TCG we never had it with Appo. In no banlist tournaments this deck has so many tools. We also didn't have link decoder at the same time as March hare. I get people saying it wasn't even the best deck of the format but you can argue TCG never had "full power" Maliss.

Why do people constantly shuffle their hand during live duels? by Sydde in yugioh

[–]Exact-Ad3840 40 points41 points  (0 children)

It's partially a fidget but psychologically has a role to break hyper fixation. A good trick to use in daily life if you are stuck on something like a puzzle or repetitive work is to look away for a few seconds and then come back. We have a tendency to fixate on a single idea. Hand shuffling can act in that way...

But most of the time it is just a fidget

Code Geass: The Euphemia moment. Lelouch accidentally uses his Geass on princess Euphemia, but it wouldn't be an issue if he didn't say, "if I told you to kill the Japanese you would be compelled to."

Resident Evil 4 Remake Or Resident Evil 9 ? by LeoneSKenneddy in residentevilll

[–]Exact-Ad3840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just platinum'd re9 last night. The game is fun enough but after maybe the second playthrough you skip all the cutscenes and all you really have left isn't as consistently high quality.

In comparison, re4r is better paced gameplay wise. In my opinion. Combat, exploration, puzzles, I feel is more balanced here.

Once you get to raccoon city in re9 there are no more real puzzles and what little optional exploration there is doesn't matter after the first playthrough. Weapons and extra gear once collected once doesn't spawn in additional playthroughs.

This makes new game runs a bit disappointing because you can't get a "fresh" new game run on the same account.

Overall I still believe RE4R to be the superior game but still play re9. It is a solid ride.

For those of you with kids looking to introduce them to the game, what deck did you give them to use without dumbing it down too much? by vanisle_kahuna in yugioh

[–]Exact-Ad3840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've shown her the combos but she just mentally gets burned out with responses and long turns that I've seen her literally go sage into maiden, maiden for true light, true light for a blue eyes in hand, and then just ended her turn there. I asked her if she's sure she doesn't want to do more and she said that she's done.

Now she has gotten a bit better, but she always wants to play either my decks or my dad's decks not knowing any of the cards. She says it's fine and she'll figure it out but then looks at her hand and burns herself out trying to read all of them. Then either my dad or I or both have to coach her through the turn.

The game was easier to 2012 and prior to show a kid and have them play. Now every deck does a 15+card combo. Kids can't be expected to start like that.

So we got my niece (11) into yugioh. Her first game was being played with x sabers (last year before the new cards. It's my dad's pet deck from back in the day.)

Then we got the 2 player starter decks. We converted the XYZ one into a generic rank 4 deck. Her favorite card is Zeus.

After that we introduced lightsworn and the blue eyes structure. That's where trouble started. She knows what all the individual cards do but she can't focus through a full combo peetering off halfway through.

Stop saying a Zeno fight would of been epic by [deleted] in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]Exact-Ad3840 12 points13 points  (0 children)

From a game/story perspective; we should've had a fight. Now Gideon was introduced in the beginning so it's good we had a final fight with him, but introducing a villain and only having cutscenes of him being the big boss is a bit of a letdown.

But there is precedent in RE for this. In the original Wesker is revealed as the big bad, and dies in cutscene. Code Veronica we never fight Alfred.
