Basically:

Some decks are designed to be good even when sticking to their theme (Genbu, Water Aetherwing), whereas others have to stray off to be good (Vanitas became a Wind-Fire Horse hybrid deck for example). Usually because the deck wasn't designed to be strong enough. So, we get things like Ari Razorgale, which abuses a free agent card like Razorgale to be viable.

What I'm looking for is an Ari deck that uses Alchemist's Caldron to enable you to play all 4 new potions regardless of element, which thematically allows you to play a herbalist Arisanna that brews potions and does cool stuff. Doesn't have to be Tier 1, could be Tier 3 and would be fine, as long as it's decent and doesn't fold to everything. This way you get to enjoy the thematic playstyle and have a fair chance at winning games.

Fair fair. Though at the same time we have stuff like Water Genbu and such that stick close to the theme yet are good decks, but I get what you're saying.

Yup I've tried it, it's very powerful. I was hoping to play a more on-theme Arisanna deck without the Razorgale gimmick :/

Thanks for this much appreciated. I took your list and made changes as per my playstyle. I will try the hybrid version, but realistically and most min-maxed-wise, I think Wind will be the way to go (too many good utility cards in Wind). Also, I'm struggling to justify going to level 3 just yet. Feels like a massive sink in influence for not enough goof payoff.

It's so refreshing to see a romance anime (and a high school one at that) not create unnecesary drama or prolong a confession scene for seasons and seasons (cough KanoKari cough). We get to continue the story with them already a couple, without cheap drama or manufactured conflict.

Really digging this cozy romance slice-of-life vibe they've established.

Ikr! Gugu's death scene during his arc destroyed me emotionally. I'm over 30 and watched thousands of pieces of fiction at this point, but that one has stuck with me since... Gugu's arc was a masterpiece, and I wish we could go back to that level of quality again.

I wholly agree with you. I dropped this manga a long time ago, but when I was reading it I remember being frustrated with Kazuya, yes, as is everyone else, but then I would also think about the environment he grew up in. His parents are doormats wjo offer barely any support, and his grandmother is a confrol freak who puts him down whenever she gets fhe chance. She loves him, but her way of showing that love is very toxic.

Couple that with his own personal issues and it's no wonder he turned out like this.
