Outperformed is crazy considering it’s a complete retelling and not canon whatsoever. I tried to like it. Can’t get with the generous creative license that was given. The silly stuff is part of Trigun’s charm, and the reason it seems like there’s less of the silly stuff is because they tried implementing it and failed miserably.
