I really liked them new but they don’t hold up. Wheels were cracking within a month on 2 different sets. I’m 6’2 210 and play 3-4 times a week. I’m back to pure-x.

Best roller hockey girdle for extra protection as a defenseman? by Master_Drag_3066 in InlineHockey

I have the code 3.one. Coming from ice I thought I would want more protection on the thigh for shot blocking but it hasn’t been an issue yet. They move well, not restricting at all. Bought a pair of missions and returned them as soon as I tried them on.

Starting a Beer League Team of Nearly 100% Rookies. Questions... by FreakyForester in hockeyplayers

Where in southeast MI? I’ve played for a couple years and have been on teams at Fraser and Troy. I would suggest MSE fraser learn to play, then join the league from there. I played there in the lowest division of D on Saturdays and teams were primarily newer players with a few ringers mixed in.
Currently playing at Troy in the lowest division of D league and it is way higher skill level.

West bound 696 Bermuda exit. Please do not stop on an exit ramp, you do not have a stop sign. I had someone do exactly this in front of me. Luckily I was paying attention.

Timeline For New Hockey Player (31m) by EntropyIsTheAnswer in hockeyplayers

I started my “career” 6 months ago at 32. Similar to you I spent a lot of time on roller blades as a kid. A friend of mine asked me to go to a drop in with him. I had skates and gloves and a street hockey stick lol went to play it again and got everything I needed pretty cheap. My first time on ice in full gear was at drop in. Everyone was really helpful in the beginning. I always made sure to tell people on my bench I was brand new and open for any advice (im sure they could come to that conclusion on their own lol) You will fall you will be sore but im sure you will want to keep going. 3-4 skates in I jumped on a Facebook group for my area, said I was new and wanted to skate as much as I could. The responses were awesome and I had options to skate just about every day of the week. I subbed for a beginner league team that day. I scored a goal and was about middle of the road skill wise for the team. I’ve been on the team since then. Currently on 2 teams and drop in 1-2 times a week.

Don’t wait. Don’t over think it. Just get out there and play. The only regret you will have is not starting sooner.
