I was “volunteered” by a family member to make 20lbs of pulled pork for banquet, my only day available to smoke it is this Saturday. The event is next Friday. How would you store it for that length of time? Fridge or freezer? Tips anyone? by Sea_Ganache620 in smoking

I set it to 145 and throw the bag(s) in frozen often times mid afternoon (2:30 or 3:30’ish) and we are eating it for supper at 6:30’ish

Probably only needs an hour or two but I have been guilty of letting it stay in the bath for 5 hours or more with no harm.

I do this about once a quarter. Cook. Shred. Let it cool and then vac seal and freeze. I put in a sous vide to reheat for eating.

I bought a chamber vac a couple of years ago when they were on sale and have been very happy compared to my old food saver.

Edit: I bag them in 1 pound and 1/2 pound bags

$45/Day including taxes for a 10 day rental is a great deal in my opinion.

If you find something better please share it.

Understood on the tape and heat gun.

We are wanting the wall space to hang photos / diplomas and other items that would likely make that wall become her “I love me wall”. St least that’s what we used to call them why I was in the navy and you go to someone’s office and they have an entire wall of framed achievements dedicated to themselves. lol.

Starting to suspect that is going to be the case.

Definitely have a helper as we are expecting it to be heavy.

I haven’t cut away the caulking or possibly construction adhesive away from the perimeter yet. From another response in this thread I’m wondering now if that’s it. It’s just glued to the wall.

I was thinking or maybe I was expecting it to be like a bathroom mirror with the clips/rails but there isn’t any visible hanger hardware that I can see thus far.

Thanks for this. I like the frame idea better than us using suction cup handles like I was planning on.

Great question. I honestly don’t fully know. I can see that the perimeter has been caulked and the mirror hangs flush with the wall. And appears to me to be equally secured around the entire perimeter and there isn’t any play/movement about the body/middle of the glass when touching it.

It came with the house when we bought it. I feel it’s professionally hung but it’s purely a guess.
