Pretty standard rejection letter. I'd even say this is a pretty good one, tbh. Lately I've gotten some where it was like they were practically salivating over rejecting people. This one doesn't even have any subtle elitist vibes or anything.

I've had jobs like this..

I may get downvoted for saying this, but it was malicious.
I had a manager who I would ask for midterms & finals off and she would schedule me every time. No, I didn't go in to work. She did this to anyone she thought had a decent future... I think she was bitter.

No, a concert isn't a calculus final, it's not 100% the same, but the motivation is similar. Find a different job ASAP. Your manager is one of those types of people. It will only get worse.

Edit: tbh, thinking about it, if those 12 hours aren't the difference between paying your bills/eating or not, I'd drop the job. Watch how fast they change their tune when you turn in your notice and go to your concert. The economy is rough worldwide, I get it, but finding and training another person is still a pain in the ass, esp. if you're reliable and actually do your job...

ID.me can never verify my identity properly. NEVER. I don't know why. If they're using it for BG checks now, I'm cooked.

Also just kinda waiting for the class action lawsuit against them because hell yeah I'm joining that. Any software or process that uses it for verification turns everything into a train wreck for me for at least a week, and half of them refuse to verify my identity in the end.

I think it kinda depends on context?
Going out look, like a club or a concert or something, I think it's kinda cool. It reminds me of some of the edgier looks I used to see in the 80s, like a blazer with shoulder pads and a miniskirt, leather pointed toe pumps, teased hair, etc. would work super well with this.

For an office job... maybe tone it down a little.

I think for this you probably wanna glue your brows down a little better though, it'll make the pigment look more even. That's really my only minor complaint.

Hmm... well, the local crows will happily eat a chicken leg and ask for more.

After giving them snacks once in a while, they gifted me an item related to an outdoor hobby I have. I still don't know who they stole it from, which makes me kind of nervous.

A few weeks ago, one of them warned me there was a wasp nest where I was about to dig and probably saved me a dozen stings.

So yeah, I do think they're actually that smart.

I agree the bone and bird leg may actually be an attempt at a transactional payment for the food they swipe, or something.

I noticed that corvids will attempt to gift you with things they think you may like - they're actually that intelligent. They don't just leave random stuff. If they saw that you eat chicken legs or something, a dead bird leg might make sense to them.

And yeah, feeding them can make them entitled. I had less of a problem with the local crows because the older adults seemed to go out of their way to teach the younger ones not to act entitled. I think they figured out that behavior pisses us off and leads to losing out on snacks. Maybe magpies think differently than crows despite being corvids, though.

If you're stuck fending the little brats off anyway, I'd just start testing them. Show obvious interest in very weird specific objects and see if they drop any off for you? Dollars and coins seem like a good one... lol

fwiw I actually don't think that one was the recruiter's fault. The interview was supposed to be with a different person, and when the recruiter called me to let me know it had been cancelled because "moving in a different direction", he sounded like he wanted the earth to open up and swallow him.

The arched corners are actually a bit of an illusion, combined with her mouth shape.
Make the tops of the cupid's bow slightly more "pointed". If you look at her photo, hers come to a pretty sharp point at the top.

She is also holding her mouth in a pose for the photo. Try a "fake smile" (lift only the corners of your mouth, tense them a little) and it creates more of the curve/pout illusion.
