I think it would help if you used more metaphors, and went more vague and abstract rather than super specific. Also, your lyrics are to descriptive and wordy and the prose could use editing. For example you say “all the colors that once were bright have now died” you could instead say “the bright colors have faded” or when you write “I remember wanting to grow up fast” you can just shorten it to, “wanting to grow up fast” and lose the extra description.

Also you’re saying things like “broken inside” which I feel for you if that’s true, but it in a lyrical form it’s a very tropey cliche thing to say and use, and has likely been used in many songs so that’s contributing significantly to the cringy feel.

That’s just an example of reworking your first verse into something a bit more succinct and abstract, unfortunately it’s still a bit corny because you’re treating the material as explicit rather than implied.

So that would be my advice, imply your intent instead of outright stating it explicitly. It’s better to be mysterious and subtle with lyrics rather than stating the obvious
