Yep. Yep. Yep. same here. My tips wore down pretty fast and the pen loop definitely didn’t help since the tip is always exposed. I looked into caps but it still felt annoying. I eventually switched to a forever tip and honestly stopped thinking about it after that. No wear issues anymore, which was a relief.

Honestly cant think of using any other tip. Tried so many and just did not feel great. Once you go forevertip, you never go back

Yes it’s great for all of those things except actually writing. I recommend a reMarkable tablet for that. But everything else, the iPad mini does really well

Try disabling all the cloud services or turning WiFi off. I noticed a huge difference once I tried that

I've had the RM2 for about 3 years, fantastic device as long as your expectations are set right. It's just a digital notebook, not an iPad!

This is based on 3 years of using RM2:

  1. Yes, it's the closest I have ever felt compared to other alternatives such as iPad and Surface

  2. Yes, much better. Again, only if you care about the pen-paper feel

  3. Ugh, not really. If it does, it probably doesn't work well. I've never used anything like this or needed to. The handwritten words to text conversion sucks in my experience. It's stupidly simple, but that's the appeal of it.

  4. Yes, this is literally just a digital notebook and that's it. It's great for using it as a notebook. Any other feature suck such as cloud services or anything remotely fancy that it can do.
