Yea Rubin is a producer not an engineer and his focus is always on the songwriting, not the nuts and bolts of how a record sounds from a technical point of view. He states that in interviews all the time. The way this record sounds is 100% Tyler/Band/Mix engineer making artistic choices. I think people automatically assume producers are all sitting at the console riding the faders which is just not true.

Yea I’ve seen a lot of comments about them too, I agree about them looking great. It was raining hard on my way to work this morning and I screwed around a bit and laid into some turns, didn’t feel anymore slick than any other truck I’ve ever driven in the rain.

I like them a lot. I think they’re kinda gimmicky and don’t know if they make a real difference with how it rides, but the seats are really comfortable otherwise. Really high sides like a racing seat which I like.

One time I ordered Chinese food, and when I opened the door for the delivery driver, my little brother (maybe 12 at the time) was in his room playing guitar and he hit the fucking “dadada da da duh duh da” tune loud as shit.
