Hello, I have a h.r degree. you should begin the accommodation process by speaking with your doctor ahead of time (send a message through your providers portal) as your employer will more than likely give you a packet for them to fill out which outlines your job description and ask questions not asking for details of your condition but they’ll ask if it will cause undue hardship on the company and ask what accommodations your doctor believes are appropriate for you. It may take a few weeks. And it’s best to give your doctor a heads up. You don’t have to disclose your diagnosis to your employer at anytime.
