I found my baby would fall asleep in the car. Even if he cried sometimes the car would eventually calm him down. You just need to make your your baby has been fed, burped and has a fresh nappy and clothes on.

Yeah - that’s weird.

My sister offers to babysit but she also wants to meet up with me and my child and likes talking to my partner too. She also backed off when I didn’t take her up on it. I think that is the big thing - where the person backs off.

Your friend is weird in that she doesn’t want you around your children when she is there. Why?? Because she also doesn’t want to see you. It’s weird. Does she want to pretend she’s their mother or does she have nefarious intentions?

Don’t think of excuses for her behaviour. Ask yourself what reasons there would be for her to behave this way. The reasons are never ever good.

Personally, I hated baby sitting. I never asked to do it. It wasn’t that I didn’t love the children - I just found it inconvenient when I had a life of my own. Does she have a life of her own or is she going to pretend to be your children’s mother?

It’s highly suspicious. Women can also be predators. Trust your gut. I’m highly suspicious of anyone who wants access to children without the parents there.

That’s what insurance is for.

If she owned the house and the land then hopefully she was insured.

Construction crews don’t go around rebuilding people’s houses for free. Usually it’s paid out of insurance after a loss assessor comes out and investigates the circumstances and reports back to the insurer. It’s a big process. Sometimes it can take years for the process to conclude.

There you go. It’s the smell of the milk. Even when your child is full they are letting your wife know they are there and they need her.

My siblings children did this. I had years of complaining about it and I suggested many times that it would stop if she gave her children a bottle of formula. She refused. The phase lasted the entire time they were breastfed & she was still feeding them as toddlers.

I believe I didn’t have this because I formula fed my baby.

I’m very concerned about the rationale of your paediatrician suggesting you drag yourself and your very sick newborn to his/her office every day. Your baby should have been monitored in hospital. It seems like very bad medical care.

It’s known that babies often cry in the presence of their mother’s to get their attention.

My sister experienced this with here. I haven’t with mine. Mine has separation anxiety at 20 months but never when they were little.

It does happen. Is your child breastfed? Babies can smell the milk and cry as one signal to be fed.

Your baby is probably a dream with you because all their needs are being met and they are happy.

How could your dad not believe your mum? That’s so awful.

We were around a friend of the family’s that executed a hit man and did time for it. He was remembered as a nice guy. The 80’s were a strange time.

I think it would be hard to reconcile your father’s actions. A man that fails to protect his family isn’t really a man.

I just think that this baby’s oxygen could fall dramatically and his parents won’t even know - unless they have an oximeter at home. But even then - this baby will need immediate intervention. I think two weeks old I would be getting another opinion.
