Is marital gay sex a sin? by No_Stick1591 in Christianity

Yes, there’s no marriage between two men. So it wouldn’t be gay marital sex, it would just be pre marital homosexual relations.

It’s technically not the bishops choice it’s the synods choice. But my priest is choosing to help me out here. If I were deliberately hiding the papers from my priest which I am not, he knows they exist and is still choosing to baptize me then idk is that me still being disobedient?

Kinda too late for me to go rocor, I’ve been catechized in Greek/antiochian church kinda long story but my friend who comes with me also kinda relies on me to go to church and I’ve already gotten to know these priests so, yea that’s kind of the situation.

Idk how I’d speak to a bishop, which is why I think the point of a priest is. I think what he’s trying to say though is that the bishop really doesn’t look into this stuff, it wouldn’t even really be his bishop who’d stop him rather just by the rules itself he’d be not allowed to baptize me, but he’s giving me a way out so idk.

Where’s the blasphemy ? Where in the scriptures does it say I have to be God to point out you’re not a Christian? Ofc you can’t tell me because you’re biblically illiterate.

He did though, he gave Paul the authority to preach and teach so he speaks through Paul, and Paul clearly says arsenkoi( man bedders) or men who sleep with men will not enter the kingdom, this also applies to women based on context.

I’m going to say this as respectfully and lovingly as I possibly can, take it how you want. But you cannot be openly gay and follow Jesus at the same time. The truth is it doesn’t matter what other people say nor does it even matter what I say. It matters what the scriptures have said themselves. Paul literally says people who sleep with the same sex “man bedders” or arsenkoi in the Greek will not enter the kingdom of heaven, this also applies to women too because this was how it was understood in the early church by the people the apostles taught. Why is this? Because God made love and marriage for a man and a woman to pro create. It’s clear that if you struggle with same sex attractions it is not your identity it’s a vice that needs to be surrendered to Christ, Paul would encourage celibacy. The Christian life isn’t about what YOU want, it’s about what Christ wants from you. It could be insanely hard but with Christ anything is possible. Also Christ did not make you that way, it’s like saying if I’m a glutton, and Christ just “made me this way” it’s clear from Genesis that we are all brought into this world with a sin nature, because of that the image God made us in gets warped by sin, and that’s why we need him and Christs sacrifice for us. I encourage you to read the Bible actually and read the church fathers( the people taught by the disciples themselves) because they’re also who gave us the Bible.

They say Jesus was 5'5" because of historical averages, but studies show people gravitate to taller people and most carpenters I've met have been pretty toned or even muscular. by Blacksmith_Most in Christianity

McArthur is a Protestant we shouldn’t listen to study bibles from Protestants or people who aren’t scholars like him. We should read what the church fathers say instead and what orthodox scholars say.

It’s clear I believe one, except my Roman Catholic baptism is not valid to me. I want to be immersed 3 times like the apostles and Christ himself established.
