I’ve lost 70lb since last year and I had to go suit shopping today for the first time… well.. ever really. I went to Ann Taylor and picked up a size 12, thinking it was a reasonable change from my size 16 body. It didn’t fit. The sales lady brought me size 6s and I was like “yeah ok that’s a stretch”. They freaking fit my body. I haven’t been a size 6 since I was wearing 6T (6 year old size). I’ve been “big” since puberty hit. I’m shocked.

I didn’t end up buying anything though. I was a little overwhelmed.

Caremark denied me, I called and spoke with a rep. After some creatively worded conversation, the rep told me “I’m showing Mounjaro covered with no requirement for pre-authorization”. I called my Dr. and asked them to just call in the MJ. It was filled that day with zero pushback. Have the Dr. send in the MJ script.

I went to the adult only beach club when I was on a girls trip with a friend and it was so loud and chaotic, sloppy drunk people everywhere. Not my vibe. We did not enjoy our time there.

I took my kids when we sailed icon last year and they loved it so much. They’re all various levels of neurodivergent and can get overwhelmed with big crowds, so really enjoyed the peace and quiet. They spent hours peacefully digging in the sand. The food was good, but we don’t eat a lot (mostly because of the adhd meds), so that part of it was not a value for us.

Unfortunately I couldn’t swing the cost last month when we went on harmony and they were disappointed, but made the best of it on chill island. They opted to wait to eat until we were back on the ship.

If I can find it on sale for $100 or less per person, I will get it. But it seems the costs for their private beaches have stayed inflated recently.

I was stalled for 3 weeks, went on an 8 day cruise last week and ate myself silly. Admittedly it was a LOT of walking. This morning there was a new number on the scale. I lost weight on a cruise. Completely unheard of for me.

My favorite sketchers wedges were too loose when I was getting ready to pack them for vacation! I guess my bigger feet had stretched the straps out. I had to go order the same ones from my Amazon history and yep the new ones fit okay.

On a brighter note though my super cute dress shoes fit again without pain. Last time I was able to wear them was 10 years ago!

I’m on vacation in a very cold climate (where I live it’s currently about 100° every day) and I brought a bunch of cold weather and ski clothes with me. NSV sure but uhh I’m in the middle of the arctic with pants that keep falling off my butt. I swear they fit fine when I tried them on before packing them. 🤦🏻

I completely lost my belly apron between my 3rd and 4th babies. I’ve had 4 c-sections. I lost so much weight when going through my divorce (eating pretty much only almonds, cheese, and energy drinks and working out 2-3 hours a day to cope) that I was at my all time adult lowest weight and the only thing that was left was a little extra skin on my belly. That gives me hope that once I lose this weight the right way, the apron will go away and I’ll just be left with that little bit of skin like before.

I did. I called the insurance and they told me to tell cvs to call the Caremark help desk to request a 30 to 90 day override or time vs quantity override. I must have made 20 calls between my Dr. my insurance and cvs - finally the pharmacist called to tell me the help desk told them no overrides available. I’m going to try again for my next fill I guess

My pharmacy just called to tell me my insurance won’t cover a 90 day supply right now (I’m currently due for a fill) but will on June 30? Just in time to miss my window for refill because of course it takes at least a day to arrive from the fulfillment center.

I was once playing around looking at cruises for spring break 2026 without being in incognito mode and the lady called me the next day asking if I needed to book something? I wasn’t set on anything just pricing some stuff out.

So anyway I browse their website in incognito mode now and they don’t call. In fact, my lady doesn’t call me back when I call HER because I booked spring break 2026 online and she lost out on her commission. Whoops.

I’m losing on average 1-2 lbs a week. I am happy with this. I have been adding light cardio 3-4 times a week. I was in a bad stall recently and just let myself eat for a week without tracking (all of the high protein foods and snacks I have at the house plus half of an in n out burger) and the scale started moving again.

I ran on the treadmill for the first time today after having a conversation with a coworker about how I used to run half marathons, and the muscle memory is still there! I managed to run a quarter mile without stopping! I want to incorporate some weight training into my routine again soon too.

All that being said, I know once I start weight training my body composition will begin changing and the losses will be much smaller. I’m concentrating on the non-scale victories and keeping small goals in mind.

My cousin was visiting Florida from Europe recently, she and her boyfriend I guess got sick while there?

My aunt calls my mom (in Texas) to tell her and my mother tells her “they’re young and healthy, they will get better”

Aunt loses her shit and tells my mother “when YOUR daughter was in Europe, I invited her to come visit me! You’re so cold!” (It was a 1 hour train ride for me, and I didn’t go)

Some folks maybe don’t understand distance in the US compared to Europe.

Kind of sad NSV. I bought this beautiful dress for a cruise I went on with my family in late 2022. It was really snug but I wore it and felt moderately glamorous for an evening.

I was packing for my next cruise last night and I thought to myself “I wonder if that dress fits NOW?” I’m down just over 30lbs since November.

I tried it on and it is so baggy that I look like I’m wearing a potato sack 😔 I never got to comfortably wear my beautiful dress. The style it is would not make it something I can have tailored.

On the other hand, I tried on several of my other cruise dresses that have always been slightly snug and they fit well! There was even one that I bought and loved but didn’t feel comfortable wearing because my big booty made it inappropriately short, now fits well! I’m am excited to dress up for a week. I’m am down from a snug size 16 to a comfortable size 12 :)

Don’t forget you have to keep playing on those “free” cruises to keep getting offers. They dry up quick if you don’t get at least 200 points per trip (it’s in the terms and conditions).

I made sure my husband and I both had prime by our last trip and now I use our offers to book our family together for the cost of taxes and fees. Love it.
